Just been up and down Rt. 4 today and we went all the way out to Forrestville, we saw no less then 14 State Troopers in action from Dunkirk all the way to Solomon's! You guys might want to keep a lid on the speed. Hope you have a safe weekend!! :howdy:

Were those all state trooper cars with the light bars on top? Or did you notice the "other" unmarked vehicles like the big SUVs, the new Chevy sedans, and the ever intriguing mustangs.

It's enough to drive you wild. :jameo:

I've tailgated one of the Chevy's thinking it was just someone else and then they flashed the lights and I backed off. The other one saw me in the middle of a road rage with the car in front of me and when I jumped behind him he flashed his lights until I backed off.

You can't identify it because the lights in the back window are white bulbed until they turn them on. So it looks like your regular family car.

Luckily I was behind them and stayed behind them until they went wherever. I haven't done that since. :cartwheel

Helpful hint: regular family cars do not have lights in the back window.

That's what cruise control is for...both my husband and I have a spotless driving record.
But what happens if they pull you over and swear you were going 80 when you KNOW your CC was set at 65?

Don't have to worry about that...he's a diesel mechanic. This is the other half speaking his mind.
There is a way to check ur cc if you are not sure about the speed being right.
You plug a code reader into the OBD3III port under your dash and have the mechanic run a diagnostic check. But then again, wouldn't it be easier to drive the posted speed limit at 55mph. Float along in the right hand lane,
while watching the other morons drive like they are auditioning for a nascar team. But then again, this might be too simple of concept to grasp.
Personally, I think that half of the cars around here don't not come with operating turn signals. But then again of the mentalliaty of the people around here, I doubt that they know how to operate turn signals let alone use them. And ur complaining about posted speed limits, but then again reading and comprehensing on the posted speed limits, would interfer with talking on the cell phone, putting on make-up, worring about what the kids are doing, and making sure one's favorite radio station or CD is playing.
Here's another clue to ya'll that might be difficult to grasp, safe following distance. You should always give yourself a safe following distance of 3 seconds per 10 mile an hour. But then again....I would get a better response talking to the wall.

 Where did you hear that? I've always been told (including in the MVA handbooks and driver's ed classes) that the rule of thumb is 2 seconds...period. 3 seconds per 10 mph means that you'd have a 15 second following distance when going 50 mph. That's just stupid.

It's not something that you can just see unless you're looking for it as the lights are right at the rear window brake light and the bulbs are white. They know how to set up an unmarked car and not just I make the mistake as others have been pulled over by them. :huggy:

And someone will just pull into that space. Then you'll have to back off them, and someone else gets in that space. Before you know it your driving backwards.

I say....Just ride in the left lane, but make sure you pace yourself with the car in the right lane.

don't forget the dodge chargers they now have on the force, at least 4 of them, white...look just like a normal charger but with a spot light.

I came across at least 8 last night. They were apparently only looking for drunk drivers. I was on 228 and the guy in front of me saw a cop and went from doing THE speed limit to doing 10 mph.

10 mph in a 45 MPH zone - that's a wreck looking for a place to happen.

Also had someone throw a glass beer bottle out the window in front of me - I realized this when I was up over the curb after this piece of #### cut my tire.

At least $75 worth of tire damages and almost having a heart attack.

All this said, I would like to use these emaples to thank the local and state police for keeping the roads safe. :smack: :burning:

I am afraid to drive this holiday season. Wish Charles County didn't have all the backroads blocked off. :tap:
