Stolen Credit Cards

She was with her kid so maybe she was helping them get a book or something. I always leave my purse unattended when we are at the library. I never would have thunk some degenerate would steal from the library

Obviously you don't have kids. It was more than a crime of opportunity. They set her up because of the kids. I posted this to warn people that there is a mother daughter team looking to steal your purse or pocket book and they will distract you so they can pull it off. They were very friendly according to my wife and son, which makes it easier for you to take your guard down.

I was hoping someone might make the connection that the same women/daughter might have stolen from them and some links could be made.
I bet some of the Safeway thief's of purses in grocery carts are by the same people.

How were they able to buy so much stuff? Did it take that long for your wife to realize that her purse had been stolen?

One gas transaction and one takeout order. Less then 60 minutes. I had the cards called in as stolen, but the transactions were still pending. Missed them by about 5 minutes at the restaurant. Probably could have caught them if the CC company was more proactive.

Someone in California (left coast) ended up with my credit card number and decided to buy some really skanky DO ME shoes from Nordstroms. Credit card company called me and asked if I had ordered anything from Nordstroms and I told them no.

They had me execute a denial of purchase from myself and my wife then went after the biatch. Last I heard she had dropped off the face of the earth.

Credit card company cancelled the DO ME shoe charge and two $1 charges done earlier in the day (that's how thiefs determine whether the card is still good). Downside is that I now get the Nordstroms catalogue every six months.
