For the life of me, I do NOT understand how these weathermen keep their jobs. :wench: We would be better off filling in that time slot with something more useful like midget racing...

My hubby swears that they get kickbacks from the grocery stores. I wouldn't be surprised at anything these days... :smack:

I guess you haven't had the pleasure of being in an ice storm?

What I don't get is buying all the perishable food when there might be a chance of a power outage. I bought groceries on Saturday before I knew of this storm, if I had known there was a possibility of an ice storm I would have waited before I stocked up on $400 dollars worth of food.

I was very happy to hear this morning that south of DC will receive rain...no ice storm for me.

:jet: I've been told to report tomorrow morning. If classes at CSM are cancelled, I'm not going to work. If CSM feels it's not safe to drive, than it's probably not. Their word is more reliable than Charles County Public School's word and "Open on time" during a tornado warning and hurricane-force conditions is.

CSM is open, at least for now, if we close early it will be posted on the website.

Can't you just put your perishables outside?
