I have to admit --
"Suits" was my wife and my favorite show and we loved her on that, although it had several other characters we liked more.
(Mike, Donna, Harvey and yeah, even Louis).
When I first heard about her dating the prince, I thought it was bull.
But Mark Steyn kind of summed it up well last night. Basically - being a royal is a glamorous position full of wealth -
and thanklessness. You spend your entire day where your charity gigs are lightly attended - if at all - and constantly involved
in public service where you are constantly criticized. Whereas if you marry someone from Hollywood, virtually everywhere you go,
people adore you and want to kiss your ring. If you visit dying kids in a hospital or raise money for charity, people love you.
They show up in throngs.
That's the lifestyles Harry saw in his life - a life of constant adulation - or the drudgery
of fabulous wealth combined with criticism and monotony.
So - Meghan introduced him to the combination of being "woke" and the world of endless high school popularity that comes with
being part of the entertainment industry.
And for THAT, I do blame her.

IMHO Suits was cleaver the 1st few seasons, but as the show progressed it seemed to get tired and more outlandish with the plot, I had to bail after the 4th season .... and Donna was awesome a female Radar O'Reilly

Yeah we both loved Donna. For different reasons of course.
I think they probably hadn't figured the show would last as long as it did - and you HAVE to eventually deal with the 800 lb gorilla which is Mike's never having gone to college, law school or passing the bar. I liked how Louis became more likable while still being weird - and the fact that despite his paranoia and vindictiveness - he actually WAS a good lawyer.
And we liked Meghan and especially her DAD.
I sort of feel more sorry for Harry than I feel animosity towards Meghan (which I mostly have none) because he was like most royals - BORN into this world of which, over time, he's become more and more exposed to a world he can't enter. I think people want to blame Meghan, but I think this resentment of being a royal has been building for a long time.

Everything that her family (except the mom) said about her is starting to make more and more sense. At first, I wondered if maybe Harry came up with this idea since he has always been the outsider due to growing up being "the spare". He seemed to enjoy doing whatever he wanted and not having to worry about the future. But now I'm thinking that this was her plan all along. Separate Harry from his family and then make him her b*tch.

Quick births are normal within the British royals. William was born within a year of Charles' an Di's wedding.
I think they've just decided to get away from the drama. It's not as if Harry will ever be needed to ascend to the throne.
This is very insightful and something I hadn't considered in the brief blips that I think about Harry and Meghan. It's not like she was some top Hollywood actress - I had no idea who she was until she got engaged to Harry - but in the Royal family she'll always be an afterthought behind Kate. I think that's what really galls her.
In the beginning of their relationship she received an enormous amount of press and attention. The second those I Dos were said, Meghan went back to relative obscurity. Kate is going to be Queen; she is poised, beautiful, and pretty much perfect in every way. Everyone loves her. Meghan wasn't going to measure up to that, so instead of making her own way she took her Harry and went home.
The second that ring was on her finger she started going out of her way to alienate Brits. Getting political, being insulting, touting her woke feminism....all the things she was told were not to be done when she became a member of the Royal family. Then she had the nerve to insinuate that it was racial, and I'm pretty sure that was the last straw for her reputation.
Meghan Markle is the drama.

Maybe good ole' Harry decided it wasn't worth the hassle, it's not like he's got a shot at becoming King. He's like 401st in line after his brothers kids.
That's after LIzzy kicks, and Charlie kicks, they William, then...
Maybe he saw it as no promotion potential and is looking for a new career.
Didn't he fly air ambulances in England for a while.

I think that was his brother William. I'm not sure Harry has flown since leaving the Army.
either way, he's got skills I don't. If nothing else she could make a mint as an escort.
