...and I stumbled across a killer deal on a '98 FLHTCU Ultra Classic dresser this morning. 24K miles on a well-maintained ride.

My dilema: Buy it and sell the '47 flathead, or ..just friggin buy it and keep the flathead?

Decision..decisions. I swore I would sell the flattie to buy a big cruiser...but when the price of the dresser is so low...

Keep them both......think of it as being a woman trying to decide on which pair of shoes to get....

I have a '05 LowRider and newer FLHCR in the garage, sometimes you feel like going naked, sometimes you don't :buddies:

When chosing between riding the chopped/bobbed hardtail kickstart flathead and something like the '98 FLH...the differences are a little more..er...stark.

I'll throw my vote in for that, too. You're not my husband so I don't really care how much you spend on toys. :yay:

That's what I'm talkin about. It's why I come here. For the unbiased and nonjudgemental support I receive to go ahead and roll with my usual very questionable choices. Y'all rock. :yahoo:

I din't buy the '98.

I bought an '01 dresser instead. :bann:

Pick it up next week after full service, detailing and some new shoes.

 What? No brakes? Gotta drag your feet? Thought you only had to do that for the flat head...

*cough*Har*cough*

Actually..the tires would have passed but were not too far from being done. This way I'll start out with everything at 100% and wear it out from there.

32K miles on the ticker. Has some nice upgrades; Mustang seats...reverse gear kit...full-length dual exhaust (not sure what make but sounds awesome)..a cam upgrade and Mikuni carb to match ('carb' is the only bummer really..its not EFI)

She's home. And wow...if you want to really appreciate a dresser, ride a vintage hardtail flathead around for a while first. I'm spoiled already...I bet I put more miles on the dresser in the nect two weeks than I've put on the flattie in a whole year.:eyebrow:
