I moved to my favorite vacation spot, but I still have to drive 80 miles to go to Daytona for a day trip... if that counts as a vacation.

I've got a lot happening this year as compared to previous years.

1) Grandparents want to take my family to Water Country U.S.A. near Williamsburg, Virginia.

2) Aussie's mom wants to take us to Hershey park, New York City, Ocean City, and Kings Dominion.

2) I don't know if it qualifies but I was supposed to go to Australia this Summer but I don't think me and Aussie will be able to go until Winter break which means it will be Summer over there.

Mostly weekend trips for us. Having just bought our new house the money is a bit tighter this year then it has been in the past. Every extra penny is going towards getting stuff for the house.

My word, Buddy! All that?! I'm absolutely green with jealousy! Congratulations, young feller!!!

Umm with the new house no big vacations planned. Weekend trips.

In July me and a few girls are going on a bus trip to Boyds Bear Country and Hershey Park and us and 2 other couples are going camping in OC.

I understand about the new house thing. Nice thing about a new house is, it's new and it's yours and you want to be there anyway! :lmao:

Off to Tennessee in about 1 week--will be staying in the Mountains with my Brother-in-Law & Family....and no: I will NOT go to DDDollywood.

One month later: Up in NY hoping to buy some land along a river!!!
June 25: Williamsburg "Under the Redcoat" occupation harrassing tourists.

July...up to Maine visiting wife's family
OK...where do I apply for a loan to pay for gas.???

The Tennessee mountains are really nice, is it the Gatlinburg area?

Gatlinburg is close...

Or at least I think it is!
I will be staying in Sevierville. It looks small on the Map but my Brother in Law says its "Booming" (like Hughesville is!)
I'll do an overnight near Roanoke to break up the trip a little.

How bad is the interstate cutting through the MTS? Is it like the 70 out to Cumberland or worse?
