Add a Tbsp or two of cayenne to Tigger's recipe and NOW you're talking wings. We like it hot.

Today's chili recipe (because I do it different every time):

2 lbs ground beef
1 T garlic powder
1 small chopped onion
2 T chipotle chili powder
2 T cayenne

2 T paprika
8 or 10 shots of Worcestershire
1 t sugar
1 T cumin
two shakes cinnamon

You DO like it hot!!! I love the flavor of Chipotle.

See, chili powder and paprika aren't even hot to me. Cayenne will light me up but I could drink Tabasco straight.

And 2A would probably think my chili was for babies.

I'm making homemade onion rings and chili-cheese potato skins.

And someone please tell Larry that homemade Ranch dressing is MUCH better than that bottled crap.
Have you convinced Larry of the merits of homemade over bottled?

Onion Rings
  • Peel and slice 3 or 4 large yellow onions (or even sweet onions, just not the ooky white ones)
  • Cut them into slices and separate the rings.
  • Put the rings into a large Ziploc and fill with buttermilk (about 2 pints) mixed with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Let them soak in the fridge for an hour or two, or overnight, turning the bag every 1/2 hour or so.
  • Whisk together 2 C cornmeal mixed with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Dredge rings in cornmeal and deep fry small batches in 350 degree vegetable or peanut oil.
  • Drain on paper towel and munch out.

This is the easiest thing in the world to do but, for some reason, people are always impressed if you make your own onion rings.

Best Estimate for Half Time??

I've no vested interest in either of the teams... I do, however, love the commercials aired during the Superbowl...

With that said, I am thinking of watching "Ray", but I don't want to miss Paul McCartney...

Any guesstimates???

You don't have to say it or write it (or even think it)... I am a :loser: and I do need a life... But, it's just not going to start tonight...

So, input please!

Time for a nap
At a friend's house watching the game. We had wings and pizza, and I've finished my third cosmo.

It's not too late for a 4th Qtr cosmo...

1 shot vodka
2/3 shot triple-sec
Juice from 1/4 lime

Add cranberry juice to taste, and shake and serve! :otter:

crabcake

But wait, there's more...
