Supreme Court Ruling on 2nd Amendment...

We all form our opinions from experience. Out of everyone I have known, guns were used to kill, not to defend. One of my former coworkers decided he needed a hand gun to 'defend himself', he dooped another co worker into helping him get it and train him to use it. What did he do? A few years ago he shot his pregnent girlfriend to death and them himself, over in cove point by gate 3. So you will excuse me if I find guns more evil than good.

for someone with engineering degrees, i would have thought you would have better logic....

so, going with this, if he offed her with a knife, its time to ban knives? it's gonna be awfully hard to cut that steak tonight.
if he poisoned her, time to ban rat poison, right?
what if he drowned her, then its time to ban water? of course not, banning water would be silly.

according to you, its the guns that are evil, the gun pulled the trigger, not the loony behind the gun, because pens and keyboards make spelling mistakes right?

no matter what you ban, people will still kill each other. look at japan, not too long ago someone killed several people with a knife. you ban knives, people will use sticks and rocks, just like in the good ole stone age days. the only difference between then and now is the method and material of delivery.

But ours, despite flaws, is not rogue.
And I'm sure the same thing could have been said about Yugoslavia. A peaceful country that even hosted an Olympics. Stable, good economy, peaceful, but some of the strictest gun laws in the world.

Ours never will be rogue, as long as pantywaists like you don't get into power and strip individuals of their rights, and hand over our rights to our government.

How many of you have ever used your guns to protect yourself?
(Excluding law inforcement)

I think you guys had one thing right, guns are about power, people who own guns feel they have more power than others. Last I checked the bible said "though shall not kill" it didn't say "though shall not kill unless you own a gun, see US consitiution, you have a right to own a gun in case you need to shoot someone"

1985 some loser druggie was trying to beat his way through my APT door with a piece of 1/2 pipe, when I lived in Co Spgs.

when I opened the door and faced him with a rifle, the pussy ran like a whipped dog, and ran out to the parking lot continuing to rant and rave screaming @ the top of his lungs, until the Police Arrived to haul his ass away ...

turned out he was after my (now ex) BIL, over some money owed to a 3rd Party. I found out later this guy, had done time on a 2nd degree murder charge .... the pussy came back later and vandalized my car .... afraid to face me, having a gun to defend myself.

and the proper translation of the commandment is

"Thou Shalt not Murder"

big difference that kill ....

Has the need for self defense been eliminated? The amendment needs no change or removal, the governments (Fed, state, and local) just need to butt out of dictating what a citizen can have to protect themselves.
I'd still modify it a little, reword it to eliminate that wiggle room that they keep using to justify trying to eliminate gun ownership.
