I am so very blessed
While I totally agree at the absurdity of the tanning bed urban legend, I do know that from my personal experience, I have no intention of being reckless with my health for the sake of a fake tan. I feel reasonably confident that my pasty white skin will serve me well for many years to come - and I am very ok with that. And looking younger than my actual years is another significant benefit that I appreciate.Hello6 said:I had someone try to tell me the famous Urban Legend of Tanning Beds Cooked
Went back to the salon yesterday, knowing full well I couldn't handle 20 minutes so I only did 8 and still pinked up. The beds at Tana Cabanna used to burn me too. I think it's the quality of the bulbs. They have the Turbo beds at the salon I go to now that don't burn me, but they cost extra so I usually stick with the beds pay 18.88 a month for. White is for laundry.
/gonna die anyway, might as well be mummified beforehand
//get my cancer where I can see it before it kills me, so there's no surprise
But to each their own. My only advice to those folks who do regularly tan is that they observe any changes in their skin - changes in existing moles, the discovery of new moles, and especially the change of color in moles. Any changes should be reported to a dermatologist - a family doctor might overlook the subtle nuances of skin cancer.
