He may need the money that only a public company can provide to do what he wants to do.

Even his fortune is small in comparison to what will be needed.
So just like high quality, relatively inexpensive electric cars and high-speed relatively inexpensive satellite internet. I don't think anybody will be able to accurately predict what being able to toss 100 tons into orbit for dirt cheap money is going to do economically.

That's where the unknowns about what Starships capabilities unlocks come into play. Orbital hotel? Manufacturing unique materials? Who knows.
I had not heard about these.
See what a bone stock Tesla vehicle can handle. This is in China, same exact configuration you can buy here

If you can't or don't want to follow that link, just YouTube search FSD test China

Have you seen the fog test? Because it only uses cameras it fails that one pretty badly.

So I want to see that redone with the modern software and hardware.

So here's the thing about whole video. So are we wanting these vehicles to be better than human or superhuman? Meaning do you know any human being who would approach fog that thick at that speed ever? And that's kind of the point of this whole thing. That video had one purpose. These tests were carefully designed to highlight lidar's advantage, but it's done in scenarios that no normal human would drive through when in the first place.

I've never encountered a wile E coyote wall ever and I don't expect I ever will. I have encountered snow fog and rain so thick it hampered my visibility and what I did then is what any normal human being does, you slow down to a safe pace.

Water vapor is particularly difficult for standard CCD and CMOS imaging sensors using the visible spectrum.

So skip to 17:55 for a real FSD car doing pretty heavy rain. The kind most folks would slow down for. Watch the screen. Those visualizations are all generated based on the eight cameras. It seems better than we do.

Ah, you holding onto it so long as a moonshot violates two of my rules for growth type stocks. Both came from experiences I had earlier. Also two others that apply to all stocks.

1. Don't hold growth stocks long term, I'd rather pay income taxes than bleed out money.

2. Speculative picks have to be due to an expected event, after that event happens or fails to happen get out.

3. Leave emotion out of it, it's about making money, no matter how amoral a company may be (did well with tobacco companies)

4. Doesn't matter what I paid for a stock what matters is where the stock is going not where it's been, even if I have to take a loss, also hanging onto one that isnt doing anything or paying a dividend is like having money in a no interest account in an uninsured bank.
I’ve got a professional to take care of the real stock stuff, I keep a few thousand just for the moonshots. Even if it jumps 100% i wont make bank on it, but it would make me feel good know I guessed right for once.

Not sure if call that heavy, the spray behind the cars doesn't seem that bad.

What do the red lights up on the top center of the windshield signify when flashing?

Wonder how it handles things like hitting deep puddles.

Try that one. Mentions puddles, deep is a judgment thing. Wifes Trailhawk a bit different than her Z4. :)

Those are the IR illuminators for the in cab camera that makes sure you are paying attention.

The numbers of shares sold by the board has no bias in it.
No, but you need to know more about their circumstances before deciding how to weight that. Do I see it as rats selling out of a sinking ship? I tend to think not. But maybe I'm wrong. I wish I had a few extra shares for every time somebody told me to get out... :)
