I know a large group of racially, socially and religiously diverse people and the most important thing about all of them is the respect the beliefs of others and don't judge them. Which is a heck of a lot more than I can say for most of you who enjoy ganging up on anyone who dares have a different view point

The first sentence - and then the next.

Maybe you should take a lesson from this group of people.
Apparently the only thing you've learned is that they don't judge YOU, which speaks more for them than yourself.

Is it really your position that it is better to kill them than have them abuse the welfare system?

Why yes,,,,, if mom ( and dad if he's in the picture after birth) can't afford the basic needs for the child she delivers, she should abort.
It's not the taxpayers responsibility to foot that bill.

I agree with the last sentence :buddies:

But, there are a lot better options than killing people because they are inconvenient. That seems a pretty draconian solution.

So who pays then?
I don't want to pay, you don't want to pay, if I didn't get the satisfaction of being " IN " I don't want to pay for it when it comes " OUT "
Do we roll like most of Africa and just let complete lack of food and basic services let these infants and children suffer for weeks and months and perish anyway.
Is it not much more humane to abort..

Africa's problems - while diverse - aren't always a consequence of "no food".
That big famine many years ago in Ethiopia? Barring other things, they were essentially STARVED by a corrupt Communist government.
Their problem is still mostly corruption.

It's not that I don't want to pay, I don't think it is the taxpayer's responsibility to pay. That means I'm more than willing to donate to charities.

But, no it is certainly not more humane to kill people than come up with a solution that lets them live. If what you are saying is true then we would simply execute everyone more than X% below the poverty line until poverty is no longer a problem. That's the natural, non-hyperbolic outcome of that kind of thinking.

So, I say we continue to make it the parents' responsibility, and put limits/restrictions on welfare benefits such that to eat they must work after some reasonable period of "get on your feet" time of public support.

What about the chronically disabled, mentally challenged?
