Well, look at some of the parallels between the US and Venezuela. Maduro and his outfit steal an election, take away the citizens firearms and then begin culling the opposition. Stacked their Supreme Court. Now they have had another sham election so he can remain in power.
The only part of the formula that's missing are confiscation of firearms which Harris has supported in the past and the stacking of the Supreme Court here in the U.S. which appears to be a popular Dem talking point whenever decisions don't go their way.
Raskin is the curly haired prince of the Washington Suburbs. Nothing right wing about what's going on in Venezuela. More like Democratic Socialism if you ask me.

Dem Rep Apparently Okay With Civil War if Trump Wins Again​




This should not come as news, nor should it be particularly surprising. We all know how desperate the Democrats are to prevent former President Donald Trump from returning to the White House and to get him out if he does. We now have footage of Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) explaining how Dems will cite Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to justify Trump's removal, fully accepting that it could lead to a civil war.

I could not find a date for the video, but it was posted to X just hours ago, originally by user Merissa Hansen:





Rep. Raskin engages in the usual leftist caterwauling about how muh rights will be stripped away by Le Bad Orange Man, but the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which says anyone who partakes in an insurrection against the government cannot run for or hold office, did not apply to Trump.

Raskin continues by saying it would be "up to us on January 6th, 2025, to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he is disqualified," before adding that Democrats are going to need extra protection because of the "backlash" coming their way.

When have you ever seen a Republican attack a Dem official? Seems to me like the opposite happens -- just ask Steve Scalise, Rand Paul, and Trump himself.

Raskin adds this tidbit: "And then we need bodyguards for everybody and civil war conditions."

For the past nine years now, ever since Trump came down that golden escalator in 2015, we have been subject to constant wailing and gnashing of teeth about how Le Bad Orange Man is Literally Hitler who will exterminate minorities and throw the world into chaos.

OUR DEMOCRACY: Jamie Raskin and Other Dems Already Signaling They May Not Vote to Certify 2024 Election if Trump Wins​




All of the talk about how sacred ‘our democracy’ is from Democrats in recent years might go right out the window in November.

Rep. Jamie Raskin of California and other members of his party are already signaling that they may not vote to certify the 2024 election if Trump wins.

This would not be a big change for Raskin. He objected to certifying the 2016 election when Trump won. It’s almost like they don’t really care about ‘our democracy’ at all. Almost.



The Gateway Pundit reported on those ‘civil war’ comments from Raskin back in August:

Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin earlier this year said Congress will stop Trump on January 6, 2025 and create “civil war conditions.”
The February 2024 video of Raskin was making the rounds on Monday.
Raskin said Congress will use the insurrection clause to stop Trump from taking office even if he wins the 2024 election.
“What can be put into the Constitution can slip away from you very quickly and the greatest example going on right before our very eyes is section three of the 14th Amendment which they’re just disappearing with a magic wand as if it doesn’t exist even though it could not be clearer what it’s stating,” Raskin said earlier this year at author Rick Hasen’s book talk and reading at Politics and Prose book store in Washington, D.C.

Well, I don’t know that the Democrats fell apart. I mean, that’s not quite the way I see it.

How do you see it?

Rep. Jamie Raskin:

I feel like it was not enough to be defending freedom like women’s freedom, and it was not enough to be defending democracy. The constitutional system, the showdown struggle is going to be between progressive economic populism and right-wing authoritarian populism. And on that front, we obviously didn’t show up with a program that could appeal to a lot of working class guys who didn’t quite see what was in it for them.
