Don't care much about the rain - that will pass or the race will be run later on, no matter what, but I do care about those injured yesterday.

That crash yesterday happened right in front of where we sat a number of years ago at one of the 400 races (I think it was still called the Firecracker 400) on July 4th when they actually held it on the 4th. One driver had a blowout about 100 yards or so up the track from us (we were 35 rows up) and caused a major crash right in front of our section of bleachers, but it all stayed on the track, fortunately.

Watching that tire go through the fence and onto a number of spectators - big ouch.

Just saw on the news all the fans that were injured are going to be okay. That's good news.

Saw today that Joey Chitwood, DIS President, is not concerned about fan safety today. Um, that should always be a concern.

Command to start engines was stupid (IMO) "Drivers & Danica Start your Engine" If that was a example of the Movie OZ , I wouldnt waste any money on it

I agree, why didn't they just say "Drivers"? Geez, everything has to be a big deal. :rolleyes:

From a friends FB who's cousins were injured at Daytona yesterday:
Update on my cousins Bxxxxxx and Txxxxxxx from their Aunt Cathy..
They both have broken ribs, Bxxxxx had surgery last night and is still in a lot of pain. Txxxxxxxx has it worse with a collapsed lung they are draining the blood out of. His elbow is damaged and with 6 broken ribs is in tremendous pain. Thank you for your prayers!
