Is it possible that in 2012, we don't see the end times. Instead, we just see death and disease in the billions?

Changing weather patterns would no doubt spread disease. The solar storm could make the oceans hotter, and in exact alignment, cause major hurricanes. The poles could reverse, setting off earthquakes and volcanoes.

Anything is possible on 2012. The fact is we, as a human race, have never been around for what is going to happen on that prophesized day, and we haven't a clue what will happen. Right now, the scientists are all in disagreement over everything, they're just calling each other names at this point. But, it's niave to assume we'll come in exact alignment with the sun and the milky way galaxy at the peak of a solar storm and nothing will happen.

2012 - something happens. As big or small as it may be, something happens.

and when it doesn't happen in 2012 your pastor is goona tell you that it was a minor miscalculation and the real date is 2035, giving himself plenty more time to bilk the niave

You heard it here first folks. :roflmao:

:yay: :killingme

I'll make a bold prediction just like Andy did. In 2012, there will be a storm. It may be big, it may be small, it may rain, it may snow, the wind may blow, and it may be cloudy. But there will be a storm.

Didn't the sevent day adventists already live this nightmare?? Leader of the church said the end of the Earth was coming.. Thousands of loyal followers sold all their belongings, in anticipation, got rid of all their worldly possessions, and the date came and went.. and they didn't.

And still the people faithfully attend the church.. and knock on doors to sucker more of us to follow them.

Why 2012?

The only prophesies I'm aware of for that year are Mayan, a people so prophetic that they missed their own obliteration in the tea leaves. They also didn't name 2012 as "the end" or "THE END" it was just the year their calendar zeroed out on the first 3 tumblers and rolled the "long count" digit over.

There's another thread on this in News & Current Events. I'll bump it. You have to watch the videos.
