See, it's not a R/D thing, it's a content thing. If a Democrat said, "cities cannot make laws restricting the right to bear arms", we R's would be in full favor of that. If a D wrote a law that said, "cities cannot make laws that allow for sanctuary of illegal aliens", we R's would be in full favor of that. If an R wrote laws to the contrary of the last two examples, we R's would be fully against that.I'm pointing out your hypocrisy on the issue.
If a Democrat governor wrote a law declaring that counties and cities can't adopt their own laws because they don't like something a Republican did, y'all would be in outrage mode major.
It's content, not party.
The constitution specifically restricts the federal government from getting involved anywhere but very specific places (and, granted, we ignore the living #### out of that routinely). Can you show me somewhere in the NC Constitution that restricts the states from getting involved anywhere but very specific places in city governance?
