I am beyond excited about this. I LOVED this store when we lived in Connecticut. And there is so much more than Christmas stuff (I actually have no idea how it got the name it did). It has a lot of inexpensive decorations for every holiday (around that holidays time) and lots of other stuff too.
I really wish I could describe it but here is the link to the site. There is so flyer up now :ohwell: but when they get one up you can get a general idea of what it is about.

YES!! I was in Waldorf yesterday and there was a sign that said 'Coming Soon' on the billboard in the shopping center where Babies R Us and the old Circuit City is.

YES!!!! No more trips to York, PA!!! I cannot wait.

That's so funny. I am from that area. I love that store! The location will be nice too. I am not a fan of the "mall" in Waldorf. I miss the "real" malls from where I am from. Park City, York Galleria, I used to take it for granted. :cartwheel

I lived in Yoe, Pa for a year. Makes Huntersville, MD look like a bustling metropolis.

I think it's been open for at least a month or so. My daughter and I went in there a few week ago and I was really surprised at how much stuff they have in there. It's like a dollar store, a craft store, and a bed bath and beyond combined - she begged to go in there, thinking it was a big Christmas shop.

We did find some good buys in there and some cheap household things. We bought one of those big plastic trays that you put by the door and put your wet/dirty shoes in for $1.99 - I was in JoAnnFabrics in California today and saw the same tray (different color and maybe thicker plastic - but exact same size and design) for $14.99 :faint:

They had some great little dollar items in there too - I was really surprised at how cheap everything was. Sure, it might not be the best quality - but for the price it's certainly right.

Where is it?

Yep, what Huntr1 said - it's down past Babies 'R Us and past the CVS - next to some little dress boutique or something. That end of the shopping center isn't as busy and we were able to park right up front (I don't go into places there unless I can park close to the store - I'm not comfortable parking down towards the end of the rows with kids). The store is big, about the size of a grocery store, and very bright and clean. I was really surprised when we walked in.

And like LibertyTyranny said, they have lots of inexpensive things to decorate the house with - they also have lots of little items for kids to stuff baskets/stockings/etc. and they have quite a few party things. My daughter got a princess puzzle that has her name on it and she thought that was so great, since we don't find her name on those type of things all of the time, and it was only $2.99 - pretty unique, not something I've seen anywhere.

Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area - I don't think I'd make a special trip just to go there since we are 45 min. away... but we are in Waldorf about once a month for something or another. And I'd stop there if I was passing through - I really hope that they make it, because it wasn't busy at all when we were in there.
