WOw what a night.. daughter ended up having a c-section (which terrified her) but Sean is PERFECT.. 6 lbs 12 oz, 19.5 inches long and battleships for feet. The most stressful exciting day of his life and all he wanted to do was stretch out and sleep.. nurse kept pissing him off cleaning him, giving him his shots, but every SECOND that she wasn't bothering him (like when she was insing the washcloth) he would go right back to sleep. He was soooo stretched out he looked like he had monkey toes. We left around 9PM so mom could get some sleep, she was wore out.
Through it all her husband did great. He sat by her, and comforted her when she needed it, calmed her when she was terrified, went into the OR with her.. overall he did a great job.
In the end we got yelled at, I think that's normal for me at that hospital, I get yelled at EVERY time I go there. This time they were doing the C-section, and as SOON as we heard a baby cry we had our faces pressed against the OR window. The gas passer came out and yelled at us.. "you're not allowed to be here during surgery, get behind the red line.." of course he didn't tell us that until AFTER we saw Sean. Hey, you don't want us to watch, don't put in windows!!
We left with Sean sleeping in his mommy's arms.
