May I suggest you don't post it. I learned that the hard way once.

I don't know if this is the "beginning of the end" or not. On one hand, I question the existence of one overall "creator" and don't buy that :blahblah:; on the other (more scientific view), though, ya gotta wonder how long our planet can take us raping our natural resources and doing the things to it we are. :ohwell:

And the sad thing is ... I'm not even a birkenstock-wearing, granola-eating, tree-hugging liberal. :frown:

 I don't! I'm young enough that I expect to be alive then and beyond! Heck, I plan on being one hell of a burden to my kid! :really:

i just wonder how much longer we can go. Natural disasters are getting worse, people, in general are getting much worse. Gas, and housing prices are on the rise, to unbelieveable amounts, which in turn, is going to cause everything else to rise. Eventually, it is going to cause an uprising in people as well, which could be worse, than what is going on right now, in New Orleans. Just my two cents.

Why are you always giving me crap, did I do something to offend you, or are you just "naturally bitter"?

I think we as people of the world have faced much worse throughout history. Bad things will happen but we shall overcome.

all the witty and entertaining ones must be given to someone else. I'm not worth the "wit" :whack: but i'd at least take the "entertaining"

OK.. natural disasters are getting worse? Not by a long shot..

We haven't seen the devastation seen by a meteor hitting the planet.. Vesuvius? Earthquakes that could break away continents?

New Orleans wasn't so much a NATURAL disaster as much as it was a human made disaster.. You build a city on the water, below sea level, then ignore your barriers to the sea. New Orleans at least, was not 'natural'.. Denmark has already made statements in disbelief.. along the lines of, what the he!! were they thinking?

:yeahthat: Not that it's the primary concern right now, obviously, but I imagine some heads are gonna roll once we get our hands around the situation down there and get things back to some sort of civilization.

I saw on Bill O'Reilly that the Army Corps of Engineers built those walls to withstand Cat. 3 hurricanes, and Bill asked the guy, "But if you know the possibility of a Cat 5 exists, why not build them to that standard?". I was waiting for Bill to go :dork: at him on camera.

I'm not talking so much about what "happened" in NO, im talking about hurricanes in general, and things like that. I remember, when i was younger, we rarely had tornados. The weather is changing, and nature is changing. I would consider the tsunami a pretty big natural disaster. I'm not saying that the stuff that is happening, is unbearable, just that its getting progressively worse.

I grew up near the Outer Banks....we always had to deal with hurricanes. Maybe you just now started paying attention to the national weather, or maybe it's just now getting media coverage.
