You can thank the media and the DNC for that.
THIS is why - when someone on social media goes on a rant about how Trump incited a crowd to enter the Capitol - in spite of his CLEAR WORDS to be peaceful - I counter with the attempts on Trump's LIFE were CLEARLY INSPIRED by the ENDLESS litany of diatribes calling him a threat to freedom and an "existential threat to our democracy" (to which I always murmur under my breath "REPUBLIC, you ass").

Comparisons to Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Mao and every other despot the world has concocted - it is IMPOSSIBLE to dismiss that it has inspired people to try to kill him. Plays that are performed about killing him, comics holding up severed heads, actors, activists and politicians calling for everything from a punch to the face to blowing up his home.

Do you HONESTLY BELIEVE it's had no influence over the people who have actually tried to kill him?

But think how retarded and easily manipulated you have to be that you react to Trump's mere name like Pavlov's rabid dog because the TV or some stranger on the internet said to.

Biden was a horrible POTUS and most of us could say his name without spitting. We didn't burn down buildings in rage-fueled fits. We could watch Kamala being a dork without throwing chairs across the room.

So really, if someone's "sensible and reasonable" friend has that type of visceral reaction, they are indeed a crazy Leftist moron.

I did have a friend - a person with whom I interacted with for years - and whom I had zero idea of his political leanings -

Go off on me when I mentioned that Trump had nothing to do with the actions at the Capitol on J6 and the "damage" done on that day was trivial. He went off loudly and his wife - who actually partly agrees with him - had to calm him down. He's never been the same with me since. Cordial, but that's about the extent of it.

My D friend in Texas went nutzo about J6, told her I saw far worse at the Capitol back in the Vietnam protest era. She said J6 was worse  Told her I lived that era and was there to no avail. Most times I can reason with her but she is adamant that J6 was a threat to democracy.

So see? He is a crazy Leftist moron, you just didn't know it because it never came up before.

Never notice how quickly “threat to democracy” turns out to be “threat to them getting their way?”

Because violently overthrowing a democratically elected President....*that's* not a threat to democracy at all.

That's why I don't want to hear their sht about "democracy".

And I am sorry, but even THEN I thought, "threat to democracy my ass". Every person in that building was evacuated WAY beforehand not one of them was harmed. People like AOC reported how terrified she was - across the street, in the DNC building, where protesters NEVER CAME CLOSE to the door.

Such a threat - that no one who entered the building was armed - not even with bats - except for the police. Not even a trash can fire. That of the 20, 30 thousand people outside - maybe more - a fraction entered and video shows - 40,000+ hours of video - most of it was just people walking around.

How long did it last? A few hours. An "insurrection" - an actual crime - where not a single person was ever charged with insurrection and most of those charged were charged with what amounts to trespassing.

Compare to other riots that went on the previous seven months where buildings were burned to the ground, people were killed, courthouses and police stations torn apart or burned - RANDOM civilians attacked - and people were ok with that.

Except for a few broken windows and somebody taking a dump on Nancy's desk (Did that happen or am I imagining it?) it was a mostly peaceful insurrection.

I missed hearing that.

If there’s a picture out there, let Trump know.

That way he can commission a painting to hang in the rotunda.

"No one loves peace more than Americans. In fact, we love peace so much, if we find out that anyone is against peace, we'll kill every last one of you to prove how much we love peace!"
