The Foxy Fish is just excellent! Ate there for the second time and the food was delicious! The crab truffles are to die for, and the crab cake sandwiches are just full of crab meat and not a bread filling!
Also, they have the biggest onion rings I have ever seen!!!!
The decor is just beautiful and the prices are reasonable!

My only complaint is that you can't read the sign from the highway. I did talk to the owner about it-and they are considering changing the sign!

Friend of mine ate there and said the shrimp were huge. The meal was good. I may try it tomorrow.

My son also gave it good reviews. He said the food was really good but he was more impressed with the service.

Finally, a good place-eat in restaurant-in Charlotte Hall!

I read a review in a paper (can't remember which one) said that this restaurant was awesome, but also mentioned that the sign just faded into the background and it was hard for people to see it. Heard from some people that the food was great and the servers was so very polite - definitely gonna give it a try this week

We got carry out there and it could not of been a more pleasant experience. Great price, the shrimp were huge and everything tasted great. I got the impression the new owners are really putting their heart into it.

Have ate there a few times, it used to be Crabby Ricks. The inside is a HUGE improvement, and the first time we ate there, the service was AMAZING!

But the 2nd and 3rd trips the service went down hilll, a LOT! We had a different server each time but it should not drop off so much! We could see other servers eating food behind the counter where the front door is, sort of gross really. But the food is pretty damn good at the new place... the hush puppies are great! The crab dip is really good, as are the crab legs

Will try it for sure. Been by there a number of times and the name just turned me off. Maybe it was the sign. I will try it now though..

Ate here Sunday evening. Place was crowded but service was good. Date ordered hush pups & I ordered crab truffles for appetizers. Both were as described on this board....very good.

I have never been in the building in my life but date said they had done a remarkable job remodeling.

She ordered house salad, I the seafood platter. She asked me to grade it on a scale of 1-10. I gave it an 8.5.

While 8.5 is purty damn good, why not a 10 you ask? Well, you get a TON of food!! All fried except the two sides that come with it. Here's the list...

Platter $21.99
  • 1 Fish fillet
  • 4 oysters
  • 4 LARGE skrimps in a panko coating
  • 1 crabcake
  • Lottsa clams strips
Sides
  • garlic mashed taters
  • cole slaw

I am eating the leftovers as I type.

  • The oysters were ok but were battered vs. panko or corn meal coating.
  • The crabcake was very good. Mostly crab and very tasty.
  • Dunno what kinda fish it was but I gobbled it down.
  • Fried clams are the same no matter where you get them.
  • The cole slaw while homemade, was the vinegar base vs. the sweet type I like. If you prefer vinegar base, it is very good.
  • The mashed redskin taters were good.
She brought both cocktail and tartar sauce without me asking (I think she wanted me).

My unsweetened tea tasted sour. Yes tea can sour. :barf:

The waitress was very good. Checked on us regularly and was very personable (told ya she wanted me). She talked us into getting a piece of Creme Brulee cheesecake to go. A bit pricey for the size but VERY good. :yum:

A manager type stopped by and asked how everything was. Very friendly. I wanted him to leave so the hottie waitress after her suga-daddy would return.

Date had a merlot and water with her meal and the bill was $58.XX. Not bad considering that I took food home (rarely happens).

:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: out of 5 thumbs up. I will go back.

The oyster thing is depressing, Clarkes landing has the same issue.

Went there tonight. Not a big review giver but here goes:
Went there, sat down, ordered stuff, stuff came, ate stuff, paid bill, left.
See why I don't do reviews?
Was very good and service was good too. Did find out something I didn't know. Was sitting there and in walks Bert of Bert's 50 Diner. He sat over at a table and chatted with some people and then got up and kind of made the rounds. He stopped at our table and chatted a little. Place is small (60 people) and they wanted to add on but Health Dept. said they had to redo the entire septic system.. Too much $$$ for just starting out with a new place. Maybe later he said when they get established. He even talked about going up with another story with dining above. Like he said, they have to get a little more established first. Not real sure but I think it is his daughter that is involved too. The guy that waited on us said he was the manager but from what I gathered, Bert is the $$$$ man. Place really looks nice inside. Nothing extremely fancy and no dim lights with soft music but very nice... We will go back. Oh and BTW, crab truffles were good and dippin sauce was good too.. Wifey said next time she gets the crab cake she will ask for the dipping sauce for it.

Stopped there for late lunch on our way home from WHC. Service was very good and friendly. We both got crabcake sandwiches, mine with coleslaw, hubbys with french fries. The crabcakes were delicious, no filler, all crabmeat.
Honestly, the coleslaw was okay, I like mine better. The french fries were crispy and seasoned good. Didnt have dessert so cant comment on that. The place was clean and decorated simply, which I like. We will go back to try dinner since our lunch was so good. On the other hand, the boss took the employees to a crabhouse in Chuck county on Wednesday nite. I'm not sure if I can mention the name, but it relates to a "3 hour tour". The crabs were lousy, the crabcakes were inedible. The service? Well,I'll just say that I've had better service at the fast food joints I've been too. Of course, as always, just my opinion only.:coffee:
