How I was able to escape reading both LOTR and The Hobbit (more than 1 book?) in HS, I don't know. Maybe because I skipped my senior year and graduated ahead of my class since I had all the credits I needed, I don't know. (I MAY have read 1 of the LOTR books in HS, I just can't remember.)
Anyhoo, I am probably the only person on earth, but I simply have no interest in seeing the movie, as I am just not a fan of this genre. I am 'Murican and I am very proud of it. Luckily, my beloved didn't insist on dragging me to see it with him, he went with his sister & niece. Thankya Geezus.
However, I am ecstatic that those of you who do love this sort of movie had a good time & loved it!
