Hey guys, what do ya'll think about Infinity Broadcasting making Don and Mike get rid of their Sexual and Excratory content??? I personally thought D&M were doing a funny as hell show before, they still do a great job but it lost some of it's edge, that's just my opinion, what's ya'lls?

To be honest with you, I'm not sure yet. I listened yesterday for a while, and it basically seemed like the same show. I'm gonna miss "BM-Eater" at the end though.

And frankly, Friday when they were spinning records, they were still better than anything else on the radio. They played all good music, and had MUCH better banter between songs, than anyone else on during that time.

However....

It really aggrivates the living #### out of me that they have to change their show thanks to a bunch of gub'mint tightasses with no sense of humor.

And, we're one step closer to fascism.

I never could listen to those guys. I always listened to Gordon Liddy but he seems to have been gone awhile. Don an Mike always reminded me of a pair of adolescents wacking off verbally on the radio.

No biggie, dead people are not their target demographic

This most certainly is fallout from the 10 lies contest from last week where everyone ended up having s#x with Cynthia Nixon in a hot tub. They even said themselves it's probably the last time they're going to be able to do it. This all since the Janet incident.

The bit wasn't really that funny. The best part were the lie detectors and catching the son and father.

The only bit THEY MUST KEEP which is one of the funniest in history of humankind is the grandpa-grandma battle. I cry the whole time listening to these 70 year olds crack on each other.

Another great innocent one is "how many horns can you get at the light."

Low budget jeopardy (the best was with Chief Moose) is ok too.

http, I forgot about the 10 lies, I was in Colonial Beach when I was listening to it everyone I was with thought I was retarded when I wouldn't stop laughing when they said "....glorious 6 way s*x with Jim Nance, Cynthia Nixon, 50 Cent...."

i still laugh a little at that.

I admit, it was kind of funny. The only problem is that it was too unrealistic. Try to pull that with a sister or brother or 35 year old and the rules would have to change. Not too challenging when you have a father that'll believe everything you say because he's "from his blood".

I got here in the mid-70's with the Air Farce and Geronimo was an infantile idiot back then and it's only gotten worse.

I wouldn't pizz down his throat if his heart was on fire.

I'm a Don & Mike fan. Have been since I first found them on the dial around '92. I think they'll do fine with the new rules, because I find their non-poop/sex topics just as funny. I like when they recap their weekends, I like the low budget jeopardy, I like Charlie Stuangstabilak, and plenty of other parts of the show.

I think they'll adapt and grow, and I'll still listen. I'm a little tired of 10 minutes of fart/poop sounds anyway when they cover an Oprah-based topic.

But I probably will miss some things like Cousin Luigi, and the old days when they could call somebody and not even say they were on the air.

Ron & Fez are also trying to learn how to cope with the changes. And Howard threatened today to quit on Monday and go to satellite radio. So who knows what's going to happen? If that happens, and Don & Mike go too, I'll finally jump over to XM!

There is always the possibility that the political climate will shift or slowly relax, and things will go back to "normal". Whatever happens, I hope the show will still be interesting. I am loath to back to listening to the same 40 songs on DC-101 or WHFS, etc. Maybe I'll have to take the "high road" and listen to NPR all the time....

Hm - now there's an idea worthy of note. I wasn't aware that XM radio had different regulations than FM/AM radio.

I hope they do switch. It'll give me an excuse to get it anyway.

Speaking of XM, and establishing solid topic-drift, anyone here have it? How much is it? And is it worth it?

I'm not really sure about it, but I see a comparison drawn between AM/FM Radio vs. Satellite Radio like VHF/UHF Television vs. Cable Television. I figure if you have to pay/subscribe for cable like you do with satellite radio, then racier content should be allowed on satellite radio just like cable....

I am thinking of my children. I don't let them listen to Don & Mike.
