Actually, when it comes to party politics, they are almost the same.
I know plenty of republicans that straight ticket vote, that won't even discuss issues because they have to be on the republican side.
You really think republican base would accept hillary as VP any more than Democrat base accept a republican vp? I don't think so. Liberman might be an eccpetion but he will create big pro-life stirrings.
Still, if you think both parties don't cheat, lie and just want power, you haven't watched them long enough. Both candidates adds are full of either outright lies or deceptions.
I disagree, if you look republicans are more likely to buck their own party and vote their conscience. They have done it so often there is a name for them "RINO" McCain, Snowe, Collins and Martinez are the ones off the top of my head who have gone the other way.
There are a LOT of pro abortion republicans.
The only democrat I can think of doing the same is that guy from LA who retired.
Hillary as a GOP VP is not a good comparison. I think a bunch of republicans would accept Lieberman or Zell Miller easily but not Hillary because she is polarizing.
