The Packers are crazy...

Yeah...

I think if Rodgers is the QB, half of the people will be watching to root him on, and the other half will be watching in hopes he screws up so they can go, "See? He's no Brett Favre." Rodgers will be under a lot of pressure to measure up, and that will make for some excitement.

With Brett, it will just be business as usual.

...wouldn't that just suck? NFC Championship game, legendary plays, one of the most exciting players of all time. Count me out. :lmao:

After 3 years of 'Maybe I'll retire, maybe I won't' and hangin the packers out to dry while they awaited his decision, don't you think, at some point, the packers have said 'enough is enough' ? This isn't about his skills, its the constant disruption to management of the team. Its okay for Favre to waffle back and forth, but the packers are crucified for moving on when he officially retired? In March, he considered coming back, talked to the Packers, the Packers said fine, we'll work out the details, then he changed his mind again 2 days later and said no, I am gonna stay retired. Now he's changing his tune again and this time, takes it to the media and creates a circus atmosphere with his accusations of being lied to and treated badly. This could have been handled differently, this mess is Farve's creation and the packers are taking way too much of the blame.

Tell me you think he's been righteous with the packers and I'll shut up.

...why they all get paid the same?

Oh stop. A QB can't win a game by himself. Neither can a running back or receiver or a whatever else there is. They get paid on how good they are and how bad their team wants to keep them, and you know that so stop being a groupie for Brett Obama.

Bzzzt!!!

All Jurgy ever had was a crippled Larry Brown and an old-before-his-time Charley Taylor.

...Jurgy had a still in his prime Taylor and coming into his prime Brown along with a really good Jerry Smith and very effective Haraway. Sonny has said that the football shame of Lombardi's death is that they all knew they were going to be the best offense in football under him.

Clayton and Duper were made by Dan, not the other way around. Quick; name a Dolphin running back from Marino's day.

And Montana didn't win a superbowl with KC. Not even an AFC Championship.

...well, Mike Strahan is the closest off season attention whore to Brett and he didn't get 1/4 of the coverage last year that Brett does when he's gotta go t othe can. QB's are the $$$$.

Brett Obama. :lmao:

...you go fire the guy. Tell him to pack sand. Hell, show some real stones, some real conviction and release him out right. Go ahead.

No, he has not been righteous with the Packers. Also, the Packers have been morons about this. I've yet to see a one sided squabble in all my life. If I am them, I say at his retirement that 'we're moving on as though Brett is done, but he always has a locker with us." Then, you just go about your business without him. There's no place for him to go. No crying to do. No 'I felt pushed out'. Nothing. Nada.

I'm always happy to see a player stick it to the owners. You ever see an owner get tossed out with the trash because his 40 is off .2 or his sack total is down? These guys are a consumable, perishable product. Let's not talk 'righteous' or 'loyalty' about owners until they start paying guaranteed contracts to these guys.

You heard of a guy called Terrell Owens?? With his situps in the driveway. What about Ocho-Cinco?? While Strahan is a "what about me?" putz, I really think he pales in comparison.

...none of them are Brett TV. Owens comes closer than Strahan though. I will grant that.

Chad is the only one of the four, Brett, Mike, TO and him, that ain't a super star. I have no idea why anyone pays attention to him.
