Geek said:Jesus was a 30 year old man. He lived a man's life. I hate for this book to be taken out of context. Jesus has sex with His wife in the book. If you are lucky enough to have sex with someone you love it can be spiritual. The Geek Spanker and I have had many beautiful moments.
Why do you care? Are you that insecure that you need to foist your guilty pleasures on others so you don't feel so alone in your blasphemy?Geek said:I dare you to read it Pete
1. I am with Christy, reading Jesus porn is not a big lure to me.Geek said:I dare you to read it Pete
It's like someone writing a fictional account of their parents' sex life. Weird ####.Christy said:I simply find it creepy that anyone would spend the time to dream up the sex life of Jesus.
Christy said:That's all fine and well. I simply find it creepy that anyone would spend the time to dream up the sex life of Jesus. I also find it creepy that anyone would find it "moving"

Pete said:It really pizzes you off that I dare disagree with you and that I think wanton disrespectful behavior towards a persons religion is classless doesn't it?
BTW I am not a Christian, I don't posses the same restraint they do. I would punch someone right in the melon if they were so pompous to think they could assault my deep personal beliefs.
Really? People assault my deep personal beliefs all the time and I just think they're crazy. :shrug:Pete said:I would punch someone right in the melon if they were so pompous to think they could assault my deep personal beliefs.
I thought I detected anger which is why I asked. I am glad it is a flying #### and not a rats ass, at least it is something of value. Who said my panties were in a bunch? I spoke my mind and you disagreed and tried to convince me that it is perfectly fine to be disrespectful of someones "fictitious" religion because to you it is fake.elaine said:Who said I was pissed off? Who's beliefs have been assaulted?
That's like saying my beliefs have been assaulted because someone dare write a book about the rapture (fiction), call it "Left Behind", publish it and make a movie out of it, should offend non christians. Personally, I enjoyed the movie, even bought it, but I wasn't offended by it.
And Pete, I could give a flying #### if you agree or disagree with me. Why do you always get your panties in a bunch over something so harmless as a different opinion?
Luckily for me I don't have many deep personal beliefs and those I do have are not tread on, eh?vraiblonde said:Really? People assault my deep personal beliefs all the time and I just think they're crazy.

I can deal with a difference of opinion just fine, I think it is classless, tacky and rude to jab and be blasphemous of the deep personal beliefs of religious people, you don't. Why do you get your ass up on your shoulders over someone being religious and believing the bible or someone saying "Let them just believe what they want, what does it hurt"?
Do you think my panties are in a bunch, too?elaine said:The reason I think your panties are in a bunch is because every time someone has a religious difference of opinion or discussion, you can't come to the aid of the good christian fast enough.

Writing a sexually provocative book about Jesus is offensive and mocking, there is no way around it.elaine said:I really don't see where anyone's beliefs or values have been attacked or mocked.

The DaVinci Code was one thing - that wasn't particularly shocking or salacious. It presented a different viewpoint in a non-offensive manner. But when some heathen like me goes, "Daaaaaamn" over a religious-themed book, then it's probably over the top.

Christy said:That's what I was tryin to say. And that I think getting all horned up over the made up sex life of Jesus is just skeezy.
