Don't think he was bitten. There was no blood when he came up out of the water. I think the emotion was because he couldn't drink the wine and everyone else was.

I think he was - it would be consistent with the comic (mostly). *Dale* was the one the cannibals ate (even though he's long dead in the TV show).

He's definitely hiding something, but I'm not sure if he's got anyone on his side.

I think he shut himself in the church when things went south and the scratch marks and "you'll burn for this" was from those he locked out.

That's a good guess. I thought maybe the cannibals were using him. Odd the cannibals basically caught up with them so quickly. Also, thinking the car that was responsible for Beth's disappearance is a separate group. I was just hoping maybe they'd have a little reprieve after escaping Terminus.
