I dont think that I would look quite the same in a mini as you,,, for some reason I would think they would NEVER return...
The only way that I'll look really good in a mini is if it's a Mini Cooper. Oh yeah......I'd look really good in a copper colored Mini Cooper Convertible. :lmao:

NOT Politically Correct!!
When I had my Metrocast Internet connection hooked up, they dropped a temp line on the lawn, two weeks later a surveying crew came out and marked off hidden utility lines or cables with spray paint on my lawn and the next day Metrocast showed up and buried a new permanent line... :coffee:

"Venting"

I bought a new home the 1st of the year, yippiee,, although in buying the home I understood that all utilities much be switched which is why on the 21st of December I started this process. Everything went smooth as silk until it was COMCAST time. I informed them that no cable has ever been in the homeand they infomed me that it has since the previous owners/renters had bills coming to the same house which said they have cable there. They sent a Technician out on December 30th to do a simple drop install into the house, when arriving this interesting individual who could hardly speak english informed me that since there was no exsisting cable in the home that there was nothing he could do and that the construction part needed to come out and run the cable underground. I understood his point of view in this and informed him that what he could do was to run a temp line to the house and I would do the dirty work and pull it in as long as he terminated the line. He looked as if I stole his sacrificial chicken and said no he could not pull a temp line and it was not his job. So of course being a person of sound mind I called COMCAST and informed them of the situation, I told them that the connection box was on my property and the run was less then 100'. I was told that another company in 14 working days would be out to run this cable.

blood pressure rising

Wednesday January 3rd Technicians visiting my next door neighbor on an issue was informed by my neighbor of the situation that I was encountering, once finished over there they came over and talked with me and checked the box and said for me to call COMCAST tell them they were there and checked the circuit and they needed to send a tech out ASAP to run the temp line ect ect.. They set a time for Satuday Jan 6th from 8-12. Saturday came and noone showed, called comcast of course noone updated the record for what the tech needed to complete yet they did expect a tech out before 5 that day, guess what, no Technician and obviously noone would be coming out on a Sunday.

Blood pressure again rising even more!

Today Jan 8, I call COMCAST, I of course had every apology known to man, yet still no answer on why noone showed no a call back on Saturday, and was informed that no call was planned for Saturday, "EYES CROSSING NOW" I told them well thats interesting since on the call in it told me I was due for a service call and couldnt they see this, Oh yes, thats right you are correct you are due for a service call... I informed this call taker that my "eye's are crossed", "blood pressure well elevated" and anal leakage was eminate, she then of course told me to hold again...................................................................................................................................... came back after 20 minutes on hold thinking I would hang up,, no way, im on my game this time, she said that she will transfer me to her floor supervisor and for me to explain the situation again to this individual, I asked if she had updated the record as I was explaining this to her earlier and she said no. She then transfered me to a supervisors voice mail in which I just said please call me ASAP with my number. I even went as far as writing COMCAST an e-mail and received a reply explaining how sorry they were however I would have to call and talk to a customer rep......

This is what happens when you deal with a company that has a monopoly in any market, if I owed them money they would hunt me down for it, however when in need,, well you can see the never ending saga.... :buttkick:

I've had a couple of Comcast horror stories. They all start with "Digital Cable."

We got a 61-inch DLP HDTV 1080p TV. So we need a cable box to hook it up for Comcast HD. We get this and they said they had to come out and run a line because it didn't work. All this was because my neighbors had their TV hooked up to the terminal behind a spliter that ours was on. That's how the ####ing Comcast tech did it.

So they set that up and have everything working, EXCPET THE INTERNET. So we call them to have the modem put back online and they run me through their standard bull#### procedure. I was like "Look dude, I've done this already. I've done it 100 times. The #### doesn't work."

Get that fixed and now the TV in my room isn't working. Now I'm really hot. I hook it up to my PC and it works fine. So finally I replace the cable box and we had to replace several of them.

In short, we had to replace all but one of the cable boxes.

Just letting you know - a temp line will be out there for 3 or 4 months until you go ##### about it to someone, in person.

Direct TV have Internet? never checked into it, not yet anyway

That's what we've had now for about three years - it used to be called DirecWay, but now it's HughesNet. The per month charge isn't a lot, but the set up charge can be - you pay about 600 bucks for the install, but you can spread it out over a year if you like. We paid for it outright, and I think the monthly cost is about 60 bucks.

We have wireless throughout the house, although I had to set it up, and I can't say it's always been great. Most days it runs just as fast if not better than cable - every rare once in a while the satellite modem needs to be rebooted, but no more than the cable box on our TV does.

It also requires a separate antenna - which I suppose is why the install costs so much. By and large, I'm pretty happy with it, as I am with DirecTV.

just one of those days...
I too have had nothing but problems with COMCAST. It took 5 different people to hook my cable up and then the last one took my Dish Network box and said that he would send it back to them and he never did so it cost me $400. When I called the office to try to get the box back I was told that they couldn't find it. There is a serious communications problem somewhere. I told them when they first came to install the cable that the house had never been hooked to cable since they had just brought it to my neighborhood a couple of months before. So when the 2 guys come to hook stuff up the couldn't get it to work because there were no lines from the road to the house. I was told by them that wasn't their job to run that line. Then comes the next tech.... He runs a temp line that is across the driveway and yard but he tells me it isn't his job to bury it. So another tech comes out that says that he doesn't bury it either. Finally the last one comes out and buries the line but he says that he is supposed to get my dish receiver as part of a promotion for switching to Comcast and he says that the company send that back to Dish Network. Next thing I know I am getting a bill from Dish Network saying that I owe $400 for the receiver because they never got it back.

Since I was on a county committee, I ran into one of the guys on the cable committee. I told him my horror stories about simply trying to get a decent connection to my house that was off more than it was on...

He told me he's not heard of any complaints. I said WHAT! :shocking:

I told him to search on somd.com forums... you'll get enlightened... He told me he would, but I don't think he ever did.

Anyway, the committee meets ever month (I believe) and they need to hear those horror stories!!!
