Witchy Woman
MMDad said:We had fun yesterday. Four year old wants hot chocolate after playing in the snow. My wife dares to put marshmallows in, so he has a tantrum. We fix that, and he's fine until he spills it all over himself and the kitchen. No problem, accidents happen, but he is freaked. I tell him we'll just do his bath early. He's so wound up he starts coughing until he starts puking while standing in the hall way. I finally get him and the daughter into the bathroom, get them bathed, run the carpet cleaner over the puke, etc.
Of course, this whole episode started while the wife had to work, so I got all the fun to myself.
What gets me is parents who get mad at their kids for what I just described. Sure it's frustrating, but I'm more likely to get mad when they refuse to eat or they do something they know they shouldn't like using markers on the cat.
You're killing me MM. I can see you now!
I know whatcha mean about parents getting mad at the kids for stuff like that. I've seen parents with no patience get irate over stupid stuff. I'm a pretty laid back mom, and tend to let a lot of things slide. The only things that REALLY piss me off are lying to my face or bad grades. Even when my youngest used pink nail polish on the white cats ears I could laugh. I sent her to her room first, but then I lost it.
