Actually, I did and they were overall very good, so I don't know what you were looking at. They have the ratings for the cars in the same issue or you can go here to see them. Four and five star rating for front impact, three and four for side impact, and a four star for rollover.

I saw they were rated poorly on tv last night.

Countdown to door ding begins now....

When we bought the Pontiac, it got it's first door ding the same day we picked it up. Parked out away from everything else in the parking lot, went in to Trak Auto to get something, came out and there was a POS fullsize van parked right next to it. Gave us a nice ding in the passenger side door.
When we bought my truck, got the first scuff of the rear bumper when the idiot kid behind me made his manual transmission car "jump" and jumped it into my rear bumper. That was the day after I picked it up. I got a little scuff mark, he had a dent.

How long until the Focus gets its first "battle scar"?

Drove it to work today. Cruised along nicely at 70-80 MPH.

I got my first ding last week in the 'yota. :bawl: Also had it's first oil change. My baby is growing up fast. Dang commute.

There is an article in the comPost this morning about what Chasey is talking about. Some new side impact test. Focus got lowest possible rating. However, that was without side impact airbags. With the airbags, it would have done much, much better. That is one option that was installed on my car.

Bought the bare bones model. A/C and side airbags are the only options on it. No power locks, no power windows. It did atleast come standard with AM/FM/single CD. Also came standard with rear window defogger.

Yep, that's what it was.

Someone rear-ended me two weeks after I bought my Accord. I still had temp tags on it at the time. :ohwell:

For your future reference, usually, yelling out "no no no" and sitting up real fast will quickly avoid a rear end collision.

OK minivan mom. :yay:

I'm sure Huntr and Dymp will love their new vehicle
Filled the tank for the first time today. Pump shut off automatically, and then I put in another gallon of gas. Assume that the dealer stopped at the auto shut-off. If so, then I got 40.5 MPG, if they continued on, then I got 35.5 MPG. Either way, none too shabby! Beats the hell out of the 23 MPG I was getting in the Pontiac.
