Things I have learned from watching the news on TV during the last eight days:

The hurricane only hit black family's property

New Orleans was devastated and no other city was affected by the hurricane

Mississippi is reported to have a tree blown down

New Orleans has no white people

The hurricane blew a limb off a tree in the yard of an Alabama resident

When you are hungry after a hurricane, steal a big screen TV

The hurricane did 23 billion dollars in improvements to New Orleans: now the city is welfare, looters and gang free and they are in your city.

White folks don't make good news stories

Don't give thanks to the thousands that came to help rescue you, instead ##### because the government hasn't given you a debit card yet

Only black family members got separated in the hurricane rescue efforts

Ignore warnings to evacuate and the white folks will come get you and give you money for being stupid

I feel so sorry for all those black folks. The only way it could have been worse was to be white.

If you're a person who is offended by the truth, I can see how you'd feel that way.

The truth? :lmao:

Where is the truth in the list written above?

All I see are derogatory statements about black people. Really nice to see that on your forums.

Take notice of the news paper and compare what I have posted to what you should have read in the last 3 weeks.

It was a simple commentary on how the media has covered Hurricane Katrina, not a personal assault.

So Qpid was YOUR MPD!

The fact of the matter, dear, is that the news focused on the black people and completely ignored any whites that were affected. Another fact is they didn't mention that the majority of rescuers were white, because that doesn't fit with their agenda of trying to pin the racist label on George Bush as a white guy who conjured up a hurricane to kill black people.

Rack'em wasn't saying this is the way it WAS - he's saying that that's what the news media was trying to portray. "They're so poor...and so black..." Rack'em didn't say that - WOLF BLITZER DID.

Racism is big business and the news dudes know there's more money in trying to sensationaize the black/white issue than to simply tell the truth. If that offends you, write to CNN - don't get pissed at the person who simply makes the logical observation.

And let me tell you something else:

I get really sick and tired of these elitist white-guilt liberals whining about the plight of the poor black man and seeing racism around every corner, while sitting in their fancy DC apartment and planning their next shopping trip to Europe. "Ooooh, I feel SO sorry for those poor black people. Jeeves, peel me another grape - I need something to cheer me up."

Black people, as a whole, are doing just fine without your pity and championship. Of course, someone who only sees black people on TV wouldn't realize that - they'd think blacks are all gang members and welfare recipients.

Why do you think the news media didn't do any stories on the black families that got themselves out of New Orleans before the hurricane struck? Why do you think there is almost NOTHING about Biloxi, which was completely devastated - far beyond anything that happened in New Orleans?

BECAUSE RACISM SELLS!

And they can get little do-gooders like you take the opportunity to proclaim everything as racist so you don't have to confront YOUR OWN racism.

HORUS

Better than YOU.

This thread is totally offensive.

Not really but I'm only 1/4 black. I must not have enough black in me to think it's even remotely offensive yet.

I'll try harder.

EXACTLY! How could anyone find this offensive....didn't they read the caption? This is why there are so many race issues in this Country. The media spins everything in that direction for the sake of :elaine: .

FLASHBACK: All In the Family. Meathead is calling Archie a bigot and Lionel jumps in and tells Meathead that Archie is honest and Meathead is the bigot because he thought all blacks were downtrodden and couldn't look out for their own interests.
