Well it is being brought to my attention now that I am WRONG and it's not you that did it, it was the person that called the police. Reason's I have been using the lane the past 3 months that I have lived here.

1. There are two directional lane signs. Left Only and Right Only. The center might as well have a big question mark over it.

2. I see NUMEROUS other drivers doing it with impunity.

3. I myself begin to do it at least once right beside a LEO, again with IMPUNITY.

You won't be scraping me off the road anytime soon, at least not there. I assume everyone is going to come over my way. I make a lot of assumptions when I'm on my bike that tend to keep me alive. BTW I'm able to honk, give various hand gestures, and make mid-corner corrections simultaneously so don't get too worried.

In case anyone cares....

Armed with my new found knowledge, I began to take the left lane this morning.

And it was not because 'someone' just knew they were right since they have been gifted with the glorious ablility to exercise common sense, it was because someone else took the time to do some rational fact checking.
Good on you! Just because other people do it doesn't mean it's RIGHT. I see people passing other cars using the turn lanes on 235 almost every time I travel that way. I get passed quite often on Indian Bridge Road, even though I am going about the speed limit and there are NO passing zones on the road at all. They do these things, but it doesn't mean it's legal.

Saying all that, they really need to make both lanes (left and center) into left turn lanes. I've had to sit through the light a couple of times when it's backed up. I hope that is what they were doing this morning.

This has nothing to do with staying in corresponding lanes. It has everything to do with the center lane not being used incorrectly. I know the rules of the road state that you should stay in the left lane when turning however, in this case you have businesses immediately on the right which removes this option.

Expecting green karma for calling people morons? :dork:
Just when the shoe fits, like with you. You should be glad when people point out your short falls so you can take the constructive criticism and grow from it, dork

Maybe "morons" "idiots" "no common sense" "selfish" etc...had something to do with it.

But you didn't get red from me. I save my hits to give green to friendly people.

shoe fits you too huh?

If it's a duck call it a duck. The people making the left turn from the center lane are exactly what you just quoted. Like I said the truth hurts.
