Where the F do you all live? Invest a couple hundred $$ in some CCTV's and end the problems, get the F'ers arrested.
Or just stick a nice big 'ol NRA sign out in your yard.

Not trying to excuse the thief, but I think Jeff Foxworthy would say in this situation, "Here's your sign"
You have really pissed me off! I went out yesterday evening exhausted as I was to pick out a few last-minute Easter surprises for my kids and to retrieve a few things I needed for the house only for you to enter my un-locked vehicle last night and steal them! Well, I hope you really find good use for my cat's food which she did'nt get any today thank's to you and my carpet runners!
Thank you for NOT breaking the window out of another of my vehicles which is typical of you since you have been here more than once and also for not taking my wallet, checkbook, cell phone or GPS system!
I'm sure I should expect you to visit again soon since your rewarded every time you come!
Wrong redneck. You meant Bill Engvall.

Apparently you didn't read the thread.
(1) Aren't you smart enough to see a pattern here?
(2) The previous suggestions about locking your car might actually be worthy of your consideration.
(3) Leaving stuff in the car is always enticing (by the way the cat food is delicious).
(4) I suggest you become involved in this problem because that's the only way you'll figure out a solution.
Either way, she did not asked for her car to get broken into. A crime was still comitted. I hope they catch the jackass(es) that is/are breaking into cars up there.
It's called a "crime of convenience". If you leave a wallet lying around, it will be stolen. The crime would not have been committed if the items were not so easily accessible.
Don't leave things in the cars that can be seen, and don't leave them unlocked.
AN HONEST student who handed in a mobile phone he found was stunned when police arrested him for theft.
Paul Leicester, 18, played the Good Samaritan when he discovered the handset lying in the street.
He rang the last number dialled and told a friend of the owner he would leave the phone at a nearby police station. But officers arrested him for “theft by finding”, held him for four hours and took a DNA sample.
Yesterday Paul said: “I thought I was doing the right thing and had it thrown back in my face. I wouldn’t go to the police in future. All I was doing was the honest thing. It was a shocking experience.”
The A-level student at Southport College, Merseyside, had been out celebrating his 18th birthday last month when he found the phone.
Paul added: “Being arrested isn’t a good way to celebrate your birthday. What are you supposed to do when you find a phone?”
Merseyside Police dropped the case but Paul’s father Vinnie, 37, of Seaforth, Merseyside, is still angry over his arrest.
He said: “It should never have happened. Paul’s mum and I brought him up the right way. They should give him an apology.”
Chief Superintendent Ian Pilling said: “We are reviewing the circumstances of the arrest.”
Go buy yourself a large cat of some type, lions and tigers work well. Feed it every other day and it'll stay plenty hungry. Then hope the idiots come back so you can film them being eaten and then sell the video to all the news outlets.

I'd be pissed if my family were stealing my stuff; you did say you lived in the
7th right?
They're not all related down there.

For some reason this post reminded me of this story:

My mother still talks about how when she grew up in Anacostia (SE Wash DC) they would leave their homes and cars unlocked at night.http://forums.somd.com/news-current-events/175722-web-cam-captures-home-invasion.html
Check this out - it works.
However it is a sad state when you leave your car unlocked (either by accident or because you 'feel safe' in your neighborhood) & someone has to steal whatever they can get their hands on.
It's so violating..I happened to leave my car unlocked (by accident) one night - next morning someone (punks) rifled through the glove box, took a birthday card I had intended to mail the next day for my sister, and some change (maybe a dollar's worth).
Needless to say, I go out of my way to make sure my car is locked at night after that experience.![]()
