Toddler Swim

The lessons will be in the therapy pool, I think. Not the kids pool. We probably won't be doing tomorrow, but in future weeks we'll pay admission so we can play before/after class. The kids pool is awesome, the zero depth entry part has fountain things like a spray park and slides and other fun stuff. My monkey just figured out how awesome slides are so I'm hoping he'll enjoy that!

I imagine the lessons would be better in the heated therapy pool, makes sense. Damn, now I wanna take little man....love that place :yay:

Could call and see if any sessions are still available, or wait and sign up for the next session when they post it!

  • Depths range from 3.5 feet to 4.5 feet with exercise well of 8 feet

4-6 feet, something like that :yay:

I could just look it up buuuuuuut maybe you already know the answer to this for me, hehe...how many sessions are there? I mean, I assume it's not just one and done.

They don't have the next batch of sessions posted. If you go here you can see all the days/times they have. Search Aquatics Programs, Hall Aquatic Center and age 2.

The Saturday sessions are all full up, though.

Ummm was I wrong in assuming we'd swim WITH the kids??

*Parents / guardians of the students must remain in the designated spectator area during lessons.

My little man just turned 4 and he started swim lessons there a few weeks ago. He only has 4 kids in his class and parents do not go in with the kids at his age. But I think anyone younger than 4 has lessons with their parents in the pool with them. Great place, love it there!

Ummm... I didn't see any other kids :bawl: like mine did. But, we did make some progress, he at least walked on the bench thingy

He did great! My monster was not at all thrilled the first time I took him in the water, either. It just takes experience and he'll most likely start to love it. I'm hoping next week that we'll stay awhile after the lesson and hang out in the kids pool. Want to join? It's zero-depth entry with little spray things on the ramp in. When I took mine before he spent about two hours playing in those things without ever actually getting near the water and had a blast.

I don't think you need to be 2. My son isn't 2 yet. I think the requirement is much younger than 2.

Oh, yeah. The class we're signed up for the age is 1-2. You're fine!

I'm going to look into other sessions. We had a birthday party to go to this past weekend so it was a no go. I would like to get him involved though. He's been "swimming" before, in the pool and the ocean (we went to Mexico in November, he LOVED it!) but I'd like to see what they "teach" and would love him to spend time with other kiddos doing it.

Oh crap. Forgot to get little swimmers

Oops, kinda need those

Well, I was proud of him either way  and daddy is coming with us next week so I'll have to see if he wants to hang around after or if he has other things planned :buddies:

I think quite a few of the other kiddos had taken that class already and it was their 2nd time...that's what a few moms said to me.
