Toddler Swim

I'm going to look into other sessions. We had a birthday party to go to this past weekend so it was a no go. I would like to get him involved though. He's been "swimming" before, in the pool and the ocean (we went to Mexico in November, he LOVED it!) but I'd like to see what they "teach" and would love him to spend time with other kiddos doing it.

Oops, kinda need those

What we did the first day was floating on their backs (with support) and their tummies. Then she gave us a little ball, had us support them and try to encourage them to kick and paddle to go towards the ball. We practiced jumping into the pool (into parents arms) and I think that was about it.

I took my niece to swim class a couple times a couple years ago, pre-pregnancy for me, and that's what they did with her too.

We did this stuff with lil man at the pool last year and in the gorgeous ocean in Mexico in November (hehe) but I think he'd like doing it with other kiddos around that are doing the same thing. Plus, it's just something fun for us to do together

So one of the things they taught in swim lessons was blowing bubbles. My kiddo wanted NOTHING to do with it while we were at lessons (the session is now over). The week after lessons end? He's blowing bubbles in every bit of water he can find.

This is including the puddle he was sitting in yesterday.
