Tomatoes...

I mulched all my tomato plants on Monday night. They still had tomatoes on them too. Gonna get a load of compost and till it into the garden if I ever get a chance to go to the farm to get it.

I'm all out of tomatoes and almost out of peppers except for the Jalapenos. Got a bush full of them. Going to pickle some.

I have a tomato! I have a tomato! Just saw it this morning. :dance.

That makes 3 for the season. 3 for 3, not bad. 3 plants, 3 tomatos. Now if the pepper plants would just catch up. So far, 3 pepper plants, one pepper.

Didn't learn after the first whack? :lmao:

I learned. But once you hit it, it swells, and you can only move it so far out of the way for the next one and ya know, it hurts like hell, but that nail still needs to be driven. Kinda like biting your lip I guess.

Good news though...the air nailers are limb savers, and squirrel getters! :yay:

So if you cost it out that tomato cost you about $70 a pound. :yay: Way to go Mr. Greenjeans. :lmao:

I pulled my tomatoes after Ernesto.

I have a dozen jalapeno plants, the peppers are turning red if you want some.

Usually I'm still pulling tomatoes, but I didn't put any "Late Keepers" in this year. Burpee's puts it out. You're still picking them in Oct. Green on the outside, but red and ripe on the inside. Last year I was eating tomatoes in November. :yum:
