Tae Kwon Do class alive. I had a bout of the clumsies and hit the floor about 5 times.

Trying to make my body do some of those things is unnatural. :ohwell:

:huggy: Did you hurt yourself?
At the current time I feel no pain. HOWEVER, tomorrow morning might be interesting. I am kinda big and old to go splat that hard.

Are you taking classes in Wildewood? My husband is thinking about doing that.

Yea, it is fun. Many times it is me and 20 kids, but lately there have been quite a few adults.

You don't have to fight the kids, do you? :lmao:

But wait, there's more...
Just curious ... do you have to wear any sort of "protective device" for the twig and berries when you do tae kwon do?

Sometimes, it is controled sparring, not a brawl. Very light contact. On sparring nights they try to pair you with someone your size/belt. My first night a red belt chic about 5 foot tall kicked my butt for a full round.

I took a self defense class in college. It was based upon Aikido and we got to throw people around a lot. Unfortunately, I barely remember any of it. :ohwell:

Boy and I tested for our next belts on saturday and both passed with flying colors, we got them tonight. If he was smiling any harder his head would have turned inside out.

:lmao: Good analogy. Have you lost any weight doing it - I hear it's a great form of exercise?
Yea about 15 lbs i would guess. I don't have a scale. When I flex in front of the mirror I don't bust out laughing anymore. :killingme

It is a great work out. Lasts an hour, exercise and stretching, then the class begins and goes non stop. It is very good, I am winded and sweating hard by the time it is over. Especially Wed nights.

Careful, Pete! One of the guys at Doug's Hobbies broke a leg in a sparring event in a martial arts class. He literally TWISTED his leg and broke the two bones below the knee. I don't know how or why the knee didn't take the damage instead of the bones.
