Golden dollar

It's gold, it's cool. Even when they get old enough to realize it's only a dollar, it's still gold, so it's cool.

Both of my sons still have all their gold dollars, they never spent them. (ok, they are only 6 & 9, but still, they spend paper money first.)

She told me the dentist told her each tooth was worth $10...... :ohwell:

Tell the dentist that unless he's flipping the bill, or unless the tooth fairy is reimbursed by dental insurance, then he needs to keep that big fat mouth of his shut, or he's going to get a flouride treatment he won't soon forget!

I pay a buck per tooth.

Since the oldest is starting to lose molars, he might get a raise to $2.00 each. But that's it.

I mean, I'm probably going to be shelling out thousands of bucks for braces pretty soon - I gotta save a much tooth-money as I can.

Ok parents, what is the going rate per tooth from the Tooth Fairy? My little one was upset with what she received this morning.....

I used to give my girl $5 a tooth. She lost two recently (molars) but since she doesn't believe anymore, guess who got zilch?

There's just something a little weird about a "fairy" that sneaks into a childs bedroom at night and takes their newly lost tooth from beneath their pillow. What does he/she want with millions of little kids teeth?
She uses them to build a castle.

:lmao: When I was younger I had this book, which I've since bought for my son. It's a cute little book, and the kids in it receive apples and little trinkets under their pillows, so I imagine that's what he'll expect when he loses a tooth.

$2 - $5 depending how "traumatic" it was when it came out

I think I was lucky if I got $.25 when I was little - times have changed.

I would call the dentists office and let them know how upset she was because of what she was told.

My son used to get approx. .50-$1 in a toothfairy box that held a neat little stack of quarters. One of his kindergarten classmates raised the bar a bit when she told everyone she got $20 for ONE tooth!:faint:

Wow, high dollar tooth I guess. Hope she's not one of my daughter's classmates or she'll really feel ripped off!!:lmao:

I think I'll get that for the Grandbabies. Thanks!

This is bad but one time I didn't wake up to do put the money under the pillow. She woke up, found her tooth still there so I told her the fairy didn't come because she left her TV on all night..... She made sure she turned it off the following night and walla, the fairy came....

My kids are forever failing to mention lost teeth. Shoot, the younger boy lost his FIRST tooth and didn't tell us for 3 days. And then only because he went with me when I got my wisdom tooth out and he was comparing.

The tooth fairy is so clueless at my house, they don't bother to check for money for 2-3 days.

When my son was younger and believed, we used to give him a couple dollars. He did have 1 tooth that just did not want to come out. His adult tooth was growing in the same spot the baby tooth still was. This went on forever it seemed, so when it finally came out, he got an extra surprise from the tooth fairy. I put a certificate that I made under his pillow from the tooth fairy that told him he could get a video game of his choice. It was funny when we went to Target and he tried to give the note to the cashier to pay for it.
