I think they are trained to sell warrantees. We had a bad experience a few years back with them and do not ever plan to go back.

I realize AAMCO has a bit of a rep from yrs gone buy ...
.... but they put a Trans-axle in my Saturn while my mom still had it, back along 2003 or 4 almost 100,000 miles ago[/QUOTE]

Why sweat about a $500 dollar truck, just call Brandywine, or any other junk yard. They gave me $300 sight unseen for an extremely totaled 2000 Subaru. I signed the title, they towed it and handed me a check.

That's probably what I'll wind up doing. /:-\

The Gear Box. They replaced the trans in my 2010 Escape last year with a 100,000 mile warrantied reman unit. It started acting up and they fought the trans company for us to get new one installed for free and apologized for them. They also finished a trans job I started in my brother's Ranger before I killed him because all he did was bitch I was too hard to do, lol.

Right down from Fiesta Cafe? Yep. I wonder if it's owned by the guy I went to years ago when I was rebuilding a C4 in my basement. Was really helpful, worked after hours from his day job out of his garage, I think in Golden Beach

short bed, step side ... been there at least 2 weeks now

don't know ... I don't want to get disappointed
it looks really clean at 0530 AM @ 40 mph

Spotted it yesterday evening as I passed by on my way home from Dulles. Looked pretty clean and solid at a glance..

I just picked up a pair of 337 Lincoln flathead V-8s with the auto transmissions..a '49 and a '50, both running takeouts. Sure would like to find a "cool" home for at least one of them.

Two engines w/ transmissions, both complete....$450. I jumped on it.

One of them might find a home in a wood baybuilt doryboat...something I've wanted to do for a long time.

Truck is now 'in the shop' as far as I know. Dad's best friend came over last week and towed it out of the driveway; not sure when he took it to.....wherever he took it; said he knew a guy; one of those deals. However long it takes for it to return? I'm just wondering what the repair bill's gonna look like.
Just sayin'.....

$0 Whew! Picked up the truck last weekend; check book in hand. "G" knows the guy who did the work. They chatted for a bit and before we left, I said something like, 'I need to write you one of these. The two look at me and say, almost in unison, 'Don't worry about it; it's taken care of.' I insisted I pay the man something, but he repeated his previous statement. Somebody is looking out for me.
