Doesn't Johnny & Gary do Transmissions? I thought they did.
Gary checked. Jasper doesn't make a tranny for that car.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

What it does is rev up when it shifts to passing gear (like I do a lotta passing in that powerhouse) :lmao: When I let off the gas, it shifts normal and does fine.

Get a filter and 5 qts of fluid and stop by. Don't forget the gasket kit. We can do it in about 20 minutes. If it does't fix the problem, then take it somewhere. I'm hunting Sat. and Mon. morning. Call me.

:yeahthat: Had a GMC van in the early 90s that rev'ed between shifts, had the transmission flushed and new fluid, was fine afterwards.

Just had it flushed. Improved a little for about a day but went right back to slipping.

When it down shifts to climb a hill is when it revs or when accelerating hard.

Mrs. Jones says you're opening a shop in Dunkirk just for her. When can I stop by? :coffee:

Don't know anything about it but right across from old Hills Club (Old Partco) is a transmission shop...May want to call me...I can hook you up with Duck Phettiplace....He works at Bells and does a lot of that stuff....He installs Jasper and GM engines and transmissions....Very reasonable....Get a GM or Jasper and get a nice warranty too...
That's the "Gear Box". Have heard good stuff about them. Never used them myself, but have heard they do good work.
