Is he on the corner on C.P. Road? I don't know him but I can certainly call and talk to him (or ride down their in my old Explorer that keeps on ticking so far).

It will not go into any gear. Towed to Leon Ford. They are quite sure its the trans but the problem is "internal" so won't really know till they tear it down.

It will not go into any gear. Towed to Leon Ford. They are quite sure its the trans but the problem is "internal" so won't really know till they tear it down.

My first thought with only 50k on it would be to change the filter and fluid.
worse case I would think would be the valve body on it, which is another easy driveway fix.
Unless you drive the hell out of it.

I do have to ask 1 obvious question though - Have you checked the fluid level and is it serviced correctly?

The Gear Box in Mechanicsville.

My recommendation as well.

The torque converter probably stripped out in it with that few miles on it. Alot cheaper than a whole transmission to replace.

I spoke with Dave Sparks from there earlier today. He seemed knowledgeable and helpful.

Well WW, it is at AAMCO. After reading some other threads I'm shaking in my boots. But hopefully they will be decent and honest and it will be something like the torque converter - fingers crossed.
