Honestly, I'd love to do what Vrai and Monello are doing and see the USA in an RV.

Not gonna lie, it's pretty incredible. :yay:

Put northern AZ on your list - Williams or Flagstaff. From that location you can branch out to Grand Canyon, Sedona, Jerome, and a bunch of other places in an easy day trip. It will change your life, I'm not kidding.

I hate those things and always want to punch those dumb people right in the face. Of that list I have been to:

Empire State Building
Niagara Falls
Mount Rushmore
Newport, RI
Freedom Trail
Disney World
Miami
Las Vegas

All were either take your breath away amazing or at least a one-time must see.

Someday, I'll make it to Mullumbimby.

Empire State Building (wasn't the high-light of the trip. Getting flashed was! :jet: )
Newport, RI (business trip with the husband so only saw bits and pieces of it)
Disney World (and I was too little to remember any of it)

:ohwell:

Dublin is what you make of it. You can get sucked in to the touristy stuff if you allow yourself.
Disney was a family freebie soooo .....

LW and me really want to go to Ireland.

I always thought that Dublin would be too touristy, and Cork would be better -- or just rent a car and drive through the Irish countryside, with some castles or archaeological sites as anchors.
Does that sound doable, in your experience?

(I also want to visit St Patrick's and St. Bridget's shrines, but they are in the evil NI).

We did a 7 day self guided tour that started in Dublin. We rented a car and drove west towards Shannon then followed the coast down and around returning to Dublin to fly home. In Dublin, go to see the Book of Kells at Trinity College. We stayed at bed and breakfasts only, never a hotel. Local pubs are the definite go to especially if you like live music. Like any place you visit, ask a local where to go and eat. Figure out a way to bring home some Yellow Spot Whiskey for your good buddy kom. Kinsale is beautiful and the Ring of Kerry is picture postcard stuff. If I could go back tomorrow, I'd be packing my bags now and I'd do it for 10 days instead of 7.

History is amazing isn't it? I wonder sometimes if I ever make it to heaven would I be able to know everything then - every mystery I ever wondered about, would I be able to talk to someone about how things happened. I really want to know about the Templar Knights - did some of them escape - did they make it to America? Fascinating stuff.
You bet; I agree!

As far as Heaven goes, how's that for a travel destination! Anyway, Matthew 24:13 (keep on with "believing loyalty")! But I also wonder if we will be so amazed at what Heaven (& God) has to offer that we won't care about (or be interested in) looking back. My hope, of course, is both/and; after all, we'll have eternity to play with!

Cheers. Have a GREAT day! And keep on posting your wonderful posts. Always brings a smile to my face!

Awesome!
That was approximately our idea, just have to wait for the youngest ankle-biter to be at least 5. That's several years away, hope the economic depression will get better by then.
