FOLKS, Stay off the roads unless it's absolutely necessary. These trees are falling like.......... well trees do. Very dangerous.

SMECO with almost 6000 no power. Highest I've seen it yet. Majority still in St. Mary's. Calvert coming in at a close second.

So many iffy pine trees around the momma's farm- bound to lose it at some point. Figures I come to visit from SC (where sandy was pretty much a non-event) and end up stuck in this mess with my flight cancelled. Just glad to be warm and dry. At least I don't have to sit down south worrying about my mom!
(and we have irish coffee makings....)

WTH are people doing out in this?? I heard that there is going to be a $100 fine if caught out and not on emergency business. Anyone else hear this?

they are dispatching cars out to check roads. Sounds like they are doing a great job making sure fire apparatus can get to anyone that needs assistance.

Just heard on the scanner that it was just a tree on the lines and not a car on the lines like they thought it was at first.
