Trouble at Linda's Cafe (witnessed)

Only ever went to the one in Ltown, but never had any problem. Food was always good. If it doesn't re-open, Hubby and I will miss our favorite breakfast place. JIMHO.:huggy:

There aren't many good breakfast places around here that I know of.

How about Lenny's? Do they serve breakfast?

:yeahthat: I agree, the few times I went there the food and service were less than desirable. I do feel bad for the employees IF they didnt see this coming. With any luck or common courtesy, Linda may have let the employees know that things were looking rocky.

Yes, there was a "NO TRESPASSING" sign and another one that said "CLOSED TILL FURTHER NOTICE" as reported by my son tonight. And yea, I am wondering about her employee's most of them (the ones I know) don't deserve this. The food question, I always got the "Linda's Special" and the "Chicken Fried Steak" meals. Never once had a problem or issue with service or quality of food. And quite honestly, I am pulling for her.

But, on the Alice's note. I do believe that it once was home in that same place that was previously mentioned. And about breakfasts? Avoid IHOP like the plaque. Service sucked, food sucked and well I was not impressed. The IHOP in Annapolis was awesome though.

Look, after further thought. I am sorry if I have offended anyone here. I am sorry to have pissed anyone off. However, I do want what is happening here in So. Maryland to be talked about. Open dialog is much better than silence.

I do NOT have anyone sitting next to me. From Texas, people like you sicken me. Rudeness, lack of consideration, mean spirited, harsh, cruel people ought to evaluate themselves before passing judgment on anyone. Just my own opinion.

Both Perkins and Alice's had the same owner at both locations (Ltown & Wildewood) Just changed the names to avoid paying franchise fee.
I did some work at both locations and under both names and always got paid by the same person - Bobby Waldschmidt (sp?)

Hello to all who have replied to this posting. Linda's Cafe will be open by Wednesday and we will have to deal with the events that follow. Irene and Len Parrish are the owners of the building that Linda rents. They are involved in countless lawsuits that are with some very influential people in St. Mary's County. The Parrish's have over steped there bounds and made such mistakes that Linda is going to get paid. All of these judgements have been paid, but the Parrish's want that restuarant for themselves. Ever since Linda asked them to back off of her business and let her run it, they have been playing a very bad game. Linda trusted her, they pitched girl power and how they wanted to help. Did we also mention all of the building code violations that have never but addressed with the town. So i call the SLUM LORDS what they are and if they have any balls at all they can deal with me and stop thinking they are going to take this woman for a ride, little do they know what they have coming against them. SUPPORT LINDA, and remember that the Parrish's of the Maryland Money Market and Irene Parrish Realty are slum lords and have no business being involved in anything that involves good people in this community! RISE UP AND MAKE SOME NOISE!

Like I said in my original posting. This says it all. Well, nothing like an unscheduled vacation from work for the employees. However, I will never stop supporting Linda. I have known her business for quite a many years. So, when I found out about this I was shocked. Still am in a way. I am glad this all was some sort of issue outside the parm. of the rest. At any rate. I have heard of the Parrish's. And they do have a "Slum Lord" reputation. If they are not of this county then why own a building here? Why can't someone here locally buy her out? Why do we have to put up with crap like this? What happened to St. Mary's Co? It just ain't the same anymore. :( Thank you for supporting Linda and her Cafe locallady. Nice to know that there are some friendly people out here. TY again.
