If I'm a federal worker, and I was, I'm not paying attention to the union. They have no authority to countermand a lawful order. As long as I'm satisfied that it's a legitimate request from Big HR, I'm complying. It's very simple.

And...if any of my fellow co-workers ask my opinion, I'll tell them exactly that.
