I decided to give you the floor because I wanted to see what drivel you would post to try to deny that Joe is unfit for office. You did not disappoint, my expectations were spot on. Kamala is furious that she is not being considered as a replacement (Whitmer and Newsom are). Interestingly my neighbor in East Hampton is hosting the Bidens tomorrow. It will be an important tell if the fundraiser is cancelled.”

He was clearly in a state of advanced decline even then for anyone willing to face harsh reality, and I was absolutely convinced that Harris was going to invoke the 25th by March 2021. The constitution has no impact on a contested convention.

I'm pretty sure the delegates are required on the first vote - to vote for the person they're pledged to.
If they don't, then the primaries don't mean a damned thing.
He already HAS the delegates. So that's a done deal.
The ONLY way out is - for Joe to either resign his office - which would be terrible, as it would elevate an unelectable candidate in Harris - or for him to CHOOSE not to run - which seems unlikely.
The only other way would be for something catastrophic to happen to him - like a stroke - and nothing good would come from that, since there's no chance it wouldn't be deliberate.

Except he chose to run, has acquired the requisite delegates to be his party's choice, and unless he rescinds that choice it would take the DNC to change their process.
