Lost about 30lbs one year.....my jaw was wired shut due to a car accident. I wouldn't recommend that plan.
It does, even at 300 I played flag football and biked and had better cardio that guys 15 years younger and 100 lbs lighter than me. I outran many of them too, my knees like it better afterward though. When Tony Boselli played in the NFL, he was listed at 6'5" and 322. These days he's a lot trimmer. I don't think he's ill. I guess he figured his playing weight wasn't good for health reasons once he retired.
Boselli is on the right. He's probably around 225 in this picture if I had to guess.

The BMI charts, which I don't put any faith in, still show you as overweight at 240. You would have to get down to 200 to be considered a healthy weight. I bet 240 feels amazing after being north of 300.
Got heavy in my late teens..190 or so, and I'm not a big guy. Someone told me to drink 8 8oz glasses of water a day and after about 2 months I was down to 165. At 190, I was very active and ate/drank what I wanted and didn't change but I did lose 25 lbs. Lot easier when you are younger, quite a bit harder to be as active when you are older.1500 calories a day, which should be a walk in the park but I'm finding it difficult to do three 500/cal meals a day. What's easier is two 500/cal meals and 500/cals worth of snacking. I'm also into Fairlife chocolate shakes which are 150 cals, low carb, lots of nutrient stuff, and fairly filling.
Any tips? Have you lost weight, and how did you do it? What are some go-to meals? Cheat days or nah?
The only other way I ever lost weight was when I was married and depressed and drinking. I don’t recommend that method.![]()

The VA has a weight management program for vet. MOVE! is a 16 week program, usually done zoom meeting style. Group run by nutritionists & dieticians. Before the VA will approve any weight loss injections, the candidate must first complete a cycle of MOVE!.

Yep. I drink lots of water. Love swimming and walking!Eat less and supplement hunger with water. Exercise is also necessary, you don't need to be power-lifting or anything, but staying active and not sedentary is vital.
And you did your civic duty and called him a Nazi, right?I dropped 30lbs on Keto, but it's a tough lifestyle (<50 net carbs a day). My wife has had a harder time dropping the weight. Our doctor said it was the difference between male and female metabolisms.
I don't think she'd (my doctor) would have appreciated it.And you did your civic duty and called him a Nazi, right?
