I know that eptopic pregnancy is still an option that can happen. I made a docotors appoint ment. I am trying to be postive. My son was a twin and I lost one in the first trimester. Thats why I brought up twins.

I'm planning to gift myself with tubal ligation for my 33rd pregnancy. Is the chances of getting pregnant slimmer if you have your tubes burned vs. tied? I would think. What's the difference between the two that some women choose tied (in case they change their minds?).
Also, is it an in and out procedure. I can't imagine staying overnight in the hospital. TIA

OMG that is so effing funny.You will not stay over night Lexi. I was in at 6:00 a.m. and out by 10:00 a.m. It's a good two week recovery though and very uncomfortable. I don't know if they burned or clipped mine...I didn't ask. I ain't never been pregnant and never want to get pregnant. This thread scares me.

I had mine cut, burned and turned over and crimped shut. If I ever get knocked up God and I are going to have a serious talk and I'm suing the doctor for child support!

I told my doc the same thing when I had mine done. He clamped mine, and I asked, "I hope those puppies don't pop off, or I'll come hit you up for child support!" 
It was a year in April, and no pregnancies yet. :shrug:

It's done out patient and I was in and out too. My recovery was fine and I had no pain. I had mine done 5 yrs ago in Oct.
But we are all different.

But yours was tied and not burned or clipped like hers, right? Do you think that made the difference in recovery?

Are you telling me you had the scare a few months ago after they disconnected them?

Nothing to be scared about. It's just that the tubal is not 100% so there is a slim chance that you can get pregnant. I was having symptons of a tubal pregnancy but it wasn't.
