Wow so maybe I wont get my tubes tied since you can still get pregnant

Making me think twice I'm still going to do it though come August!

Nothing other than abstinence is 100% but getting your tubes tied is certainly more effective than any other type of BC.

Have your man get fixed. I did it years ago, doc did it in office, couples days of pain and it was all over. Sex is 100% the same, its just the sperm are not comming out with the rest. (i was not trying to be crude, please dont take it that way.)

yea, gotta do a sperm count test a few weeks after procedure to make sure. Then do new test every few years.

I know 2 men that have gone to get clipped and found out that their wife was pregnant already.

Make sure when you have the tubal ligation you have ALL the procedures done. When I had mine 11 years ago (no babies since) I had them tied and burnt. Taking no chances. Hubby still wants to get done to be on the safe side.

I can't say I know of any that had a problem!! My hubby got snipped and then shortly after I had a problem and had to loose the plumbing!! Too bad, I did want more children but blessed with the babies I have!!

I "lucked" out and got Premature Ovarian Failure. Basically, I ran out of eggs early. Was fine with me. I had my two kids and hubby got fixed about 8 months after our 2nd was born. No eggs= no babies regardless of whether or not hubby's still shooting blanks or not.

Ever since i got my tubes tied i have the worse pain on the right side. Docs say it will go away. I have dreams of my tubes coming undone or grow back together and i get pregnant. Lets just sat=y after that dream i don't have sex for a week...lol!

My cousin had her tubes tied every time she a baby. She ended up with 5. You think after the first she'd opt for some other method. Very common for women to get prego with this method.

You mean to tell me I just endured the most painful surgery and the worst recovery with complications for them to rip out my uterus and there's a chance I can STILL get pregnant? Kill me now before I finish healing........

She should have switched doctors. It's not THAT common.

Yes and any decent doctor should have made you aware of the statistics.

Deat Socki, You can not get pregnant after a hystorectomy (sp?) as you don't have the parts anylonger.

I'll have to make sure the only person I ever have sex with IS the doctor, so if I do end up pregnant, at least I'll get one hell of a child support check every month

Should have read her previous posts first.
