Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes for my dad's surgery and recovery. He ended up having a quadruple bypass and is doing well so far. He should be home in a week barring any setbacks.

Great news, kom! The worst part of it all is waiting while he's on the table. It only gets better from here. It won't be long before you will see a big difference in your dad. He will have a new lease on life now that he is getting the blood flow he desperately needed. Be sure to heed all post-release advice. Especially the part about the potential for alterations in mood. He just went thru a "near death" experience by going thru the bypass surgery and it may shake him up a bit. Bear with him.

He'll be back home in no time...
