I have well water and a whole house filter and my water is still nasty. I don't drink highly processed tap water like Dasani or Aquifina either, only spring water. There are certain brands of spring water I won't touch either. Nestle is gross, it tastes/feels mushy. Cupcake got us a couple bottle of Ethos and it tasted very hard. I like Deer Park for the most part but often buy Fiji or Hawaii water as well.

Some places the groundwater is just :barf:. For drinking water I just got the gallons of store brand spring water from wal-mart when I was stuck with a nasty well. We have Deer Park in the cooler at work.

Didn't your well have to be "shocked" recently? I know folks in certain areas of St Marys that needed that done.

I'll buy Dasani in a pinch out of a vending machine. If my only option is Aquafina I'll buy a soda instead.

See...

Off with their friggin' heads!

(no disrespect to the guy that lost his at Six Flags)

...that brings back that question again; did HE lose his head or, did HE lose his body?

See the dilemma? I mean, this gets down to the very core of who, or what, we are.

Are we a body? Or are we a head?

He definitely lost his head. I mean, if your arm got cut off, would you say you lost your arm? Or would you say your arm lost your body? :eyebrow:

sounds like you just have a sediment filter -

a proper whole house filtration/softening system is designed around the water coming from the well. too much iron? too much calcium? to much sulferdioxide? etc.

mine uses 2 cubic feet of softener catalyst, 1 cubic foot or pyrolux (removes sulfer dioxide and heavy metals), and one cubic foot of activated carbon to remove any other chemicals. used to smell like i was showering in a sulfer spring, now it tastes the same as a fresh britta filter.

most bottled waters taste like the plastic bottle anyways. and the longer they sit around the more chemicals leach into them from the bottle itself. properly filtered tap water is comparable to bottled water in glass bottles but a lot cheaper.
